Despite turn based fights, this is still RGG with it's all seriousness, drama, bizarre substories and minigames

First of all, the game was borked on linux on day 1 and a lot of miscommunication happened, BUT it works on bleeding-edge beta of proton experimental (can't say anything about the -debug one).
Not sure if it's because of proton or the game itself, but post-processing turns lightning into flickering Christmas lights.
Graphically it looks stunning, but some LODs are broken even on close distance (for example, the sparks with silencer shows only the gun itself, not the attachment) and also the game needs a bit more of optimisation.

UI... Just read other reviews, it's pretty bad, at least from a m&k player perspective. It takes a lot of unnecessary actions and windows to navigate through it and to do simple tasks like changing your equipment, especially consumables. Oh, and also the new in-game menu is filling the entire screen and again, you have to open the new "My Team" tab to look at your teammates' loadouts (also you can't see them in lobby).

The new font should be reverted, because it's not readable (way too thin and small) and it's not rendering with languages other than English.

Some of the old weapons were renamed and are less confusing (for example, "Uppermat" is now called "Haymaker", because it sounded like Uppercut, and all of the Winfield 73's have their own distinguishable names).

It's still the same hunt, but with updated graphics and unnecessarily clunky "modernised" menu. The game is worth a try.

One of the most enjoyable MMORPGs ever made. You can have a lot of different builds for each role and class for every playstyle. Base game dungeons are pretty easy even on veteran mode, but dlc ones are challenging. Main story quest is fine, but side quests and chapters are much more interesting. If you're not into MMOs, ESO still can be played as a regular RPG.
