Not terrible, not amazing. Mid by all definitions. But leaning more towards negative.

The combat is garbage. Feels weightless. The enemy literally takes turns attacking you. Dodge the 3 shot burst around a corner, rinse and repeat. The game makes no effort to help you know where to go, is a maze. The "hacking" is 0 fun either.

Setting is great, I enjoyed the story until the abysmal ending. The hopeless undertone and gore add to the atmosphere .

Only boomers who like bare minimum in all aspects of gameplay will love this

Not super long but enjoyable, i'll probably name my junk "Dredge" as it shares the same qualities.

great story, scummy business practice. They release DLC over completing the story.

Overall i enjoyed my time with the game, incredible graphics, story was above average. But the elephant in the room is a "soul collecting" mechanic in the game. You need to roam the open work collecting 1000s of souls. It is one of the most time intensive/boring things i've ever done. I couldn't bring myself to collect of all of them.

Initial impressions -

-the game is ugly as sin, the character models look awful. With everything maxed and even a sharpness filter it looks so low resolution (dlss off)
-the combat feels incredibly arcade-y. They opted for automatic reloads (like a cooldown) when you don't reload a weapon, for whatever reason.
-enemies don't appear organically, there are "arena" style areas that have objects you can knock enemies into, they only appear in these "arenas". If you shoot an enemy in an arena and you aren't in it, they are invincible to your attack.
-the game is tragically easy, the enemies telegraph their attacks for about a week.
-they heavily reuse the same enemy types. You fight an early enemy as a miniboss. Then they spam you with that same enemy.
-literally has a setting to remove spiders from the game. Pander to the snowflakes much? Lol
-the combat is boring and repetitive, compounded by the fact you just keep fighting the same enemy over and over
-the skybox literally looks like it is made out of cardboard in places. The whole game just feels cheap.

I wish i had checked to see the developer before. They butchered the Shadow Warriors 3 and even fired the Shadow Warriors 2 voice actor as another company that went "woke" . Everything a woke company touches turns to crap. See Star Wars, The Witcher TV series, Rings of Power, the female Ghost buster movie. This game is just more of the same.

tried to use a crowbar on some planks on a door, got killed with 0 explanation. More boomer devs with 0 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue.

Resident Evil that you love so move don't put random deaths. This isn't Dark Souls 2

the game also has random encounters that vanish when you leave the area. It's also pokemon lmao

enemy design and animations are terrible. Incredibly stiff and look stupid as they move.

Couldn't get a refund as i attempted to play this mess before. I am opting to remove it from my library over having it there. Actually tragic how bad this game is and people like it.

Good game, some dodgy programming. OpenGL sucks. So does the Abyss worm section
