Game received for free (it's a free game, go figure). I am posting a review because I nominated this for a steam award and want the little badge upgrade.

I really enjoyed this game for like a solid 2-3 weeks. I almost bought the battle pass but managed to not spend any money. I chose Lepic as my starter descendant and really enjoyed his playstyle and very Halo like experience (shooting stuff and throwing grenades). The enhancement system is pretty cool and custom despite there probably being a "best" min/max way of doing it. If you just play through the story and do a little grinding to unlock other descendants I think this is a great game where things seem to work as intended. Graphics, shooting/aim, movement all very good in my opinion. I love the Hand Cannon weapon type. I managed to unlock 4 additional descendants, 3 of which were given through the story and a bit of luck/grind. I unlocked Valby right before I basically quit (I got distracted by a JRPG and haven't been back).

I believe the end game experience would not be something I enjoy, a non stop grinding rng lootfest. I think it's similar to games like Black Desert Online in that sense. Great for 1-3 months of play and then kind of falls off. Depending on things like your free time and how often or quickly you can blow through it. I have not played Destiny or Warframe, which I have frequently seen this compared to so I can't comment on what I prefer.

TLDR: I think this is overall a great game, and you can play for free if you're patient. I still try to get my friend to try this over fortnite (which she spends way too much money on lol)
