Early Access Review
I've been a large fan of Slime Rancher for a while, so needless to say I was rather excited when i learned about Slime Rancher 2.

So far, I've come across very few bugs, In fact none that i can remember off the top of my head besides one bug that wouldn't allow resources to be vacuumed up. That was an easy enough fix of restarting/reloading however.

The graphics and music are just what I expected from a game in the Slime Rancher franchise. Beautiful and absolutely relaxing. Its hard to describe the feeling from it aside from being deeply at ease. I find myself playing for long duration's at a time.

Moving onto the story line from what I've gathered thus far;
Bea has decided to continue her journey through a portal in slime rancher 1(or so it seems) and has continued to explore the planet. Many popular slime from the first game have reappeared joined by many wonderful new ones.
Not much has been mentioned about what happened with Bea and Casey and casey seems to be entirely missing from this game. I won't say much more to prevent spoilers from the first game.
I think there could be some more work done to explain the transition from the first game to this one.

Its lacking a full story at the moment of course as while I am writting this, the game is still in development and incomplete.

Besides all of that, even at its current stage, it is a definite recommendation to play. You get the playtime currently of other rpg type games and theres a LOT for those who like to take completionist routes and unlock absolutely everything they can.

In conclusion, even in development, Slime Rancher 2 is a very well executed game. And if we're being honest, not a lot of players tend to play only for the story. Slime rancher is, in my opinion, the standard for relaxing games that are just an absolute delight to play (and not turn the in game music off in), and Slime Rancher 2 is definitely checking all my favorite things about the first Slime Rancher. I hope to see this franchise expand even more in the future

I would like to add, while yes its almost exactly like the first game, the story has been laid out a little, as well as some premonitions to future possibilities through in game mail.
I would not recommend purchasing YET if you are only interested in story. Like some in the non recommendations have said, its beautiful and true to the franchise BUT not much happening story wise or new content wise yet! If you're solely looking for that, I recommend you wait to purchase until more is done, but keep in mind, Monomi isn't a big company. Acording to their website, theres only roughly 30 people working on the game <3 so things will go slow at first im sure! Just remember its a smaller company, and content won't come super fast (Also coming from someone currently in an alpha/beta test under NDA where there's been roughly 4 months between play sessions/content updates and each test only being for around a month)

Amazing graphics! Im very surprised that someone took all the time to code in such wonderfull graphics(i know its easy nowadays to code good graphics but still) The soundtrack is beautiful and i hope one day it will be avalible for purchase on itunes or something like that if it already isnt. The story really keeps the player on the edge of thier seets for the next episode. 10000000000000/20
