Absolutely killed by updates. Version 1.2.2.26RC was by far the best. It's incredibly hard and frustrating for no reason and it's nearly impossible to win runs on hard or abyssal difficulty but somehow that's ok because you can customize enemy encounters and the items you get... There's a ton of stupid mechanics like the warrior statue and way too much customizability. I just want to play and have fun winning runs without having to ban certain item picks or change annoying enemies for less annoying ones. Not to mention the visual on-screen clutter making visibility extremely poor sometimes and also Cursed Ares and Athena are borderline unfair. There was a time when I genuinely enjoyed this game, but ever since the Version 1.25 update I can't help but feel like it's a waste playing this since there are so many better roguelikes.
