After playing this game for a week getting frustrated unistalling waiting a year and repeating this cycle for a decade i can surelly tell tat this is creative only sandbox. this isnt a full game but a indev demo marketed as game.
Why so critical?
-survival experience is laking at the least. To survive you need only o2 which is created by 2 block solution,
Mining is hell, firch try to find asteroid in space with needed ore (can take literal hours with vanilla speed limit on 100m/s) then spend hours mining hauling and processing it. And aster getting every of ~8 ores you are done/ no need to mine more because you are set with ingoth for life.
Building is as slow as it can be, why is building so freaking slow?! keen?! firstly you need to place carcass then haul components then weld it (can be simplified with welder ship) add to this redining ore and component prodiction and you are looking at hours of time to build basic box ship.
Ship parts are dumb. Quite literrally dumb, you cant setprodition quotas for components to have stockpile, thrusters cant do vector thrust (so you need to place thruster facing all 6 directions) and to control of their thrust , either 100% or 0% power (yes you can set hotbar groups to set overrides, but this isnt maneuvering controll) , etc.
UI makes me bleed from eyes. after changing it multiple times Keen got it to usable state, but still painfull to use. no hotbar binding to hotkeys (outside of preprogrammed ones like depower and switch lock to all things) aswell no ability to unbind those actions from buttons (ie to switch thruster controll to script, or make "P" contoll single connector).
Inventory management is annoing with all scrolling you neen to do, with to ability to presort inventories in terminal (so you would always see forst on the list cargo with components and h2 tanks with bottles). Prodiction ui is a nightmare which only get worse and worse with mods adding more prodiction machinery.
Flight ... shouldnt it be core design of this game? it is slow and annoing, either you biuld small ship with abundant thrust (0-100m/s in 2s) or it will be painfully slow and unresponsive with no way to set cruise speed and autorotate to camera direction. Docking...... just why??? with all stated above it's so annoing to allign connectors to lock, even worse when you need to rotate camera basckwards but controls remain not rotated. so many connectors blasted bocause i hadnt switched off magnetic force on them so ship would get fliget and rotated upon contact. Collisons are the WORST. Either you place wheels/blastdoors on every contant surface or get random breakages because only wuth speed less than ~3m/s there are safe zone any more and hello damage. Why there is no way to switch controls to match camera direction from which you are looking?

TLDR. I do NOT recomment this game becouse it hasnt progressed since first publishing in 2014. The only updates it is getting latest years is a cashgrab for s reskin of a dosen blocks and hopefully a single new feature that doest have affect on gameplay.
