I tried really hard to like this game, but where do I even start...

- The "puppets" or zombies in the game love spawning right behind you or just a few meters from where you just were.
- There's literally a P2W character that starts you off with a machete.
- The game still has a big issue with hackers.
- The lockpick system just makes it easy for someone to raid your base, you could have multiple of the best locks and someone will tear through them before you can say Kumbaya.

You're better off playing DayZ or Rust.

Long time gears fan here,

Hats off to Microsoft, the game looks and plays beautifully, It shows you guys put in the work. People are complaining way too much, when all of their other favorite games can't really compare to alot of things this game brings to the table, but are quick to dismiss the positives because of *cover your ears kids* "Microtransactions."

The game already provides you with an amazing experience, god forbid you have to pay a tiny bit for DLC content or a specific skin that helps support them. Does it suck not having it in the base game and kinda seem distasteful? Sure, but why does that have to dictate the entire game's experience? Most of the big games people love have them, people complain about them, and then shell out money anyways.

Disclaimer, I haven't finished the story, but halfway through and I honestly don't see what people are complaining about, it feels nice and fresh while pulling at these old heartstrings with older gears references.) It really feels like they care about the lore and want to make the characters feel like living beings with emotions as opposed to generic soldiers.

The game is honestly pretty sexy to look at, gunplay feels smooth, they kept alot of the best features while throwing in some new ones to keep it fresh, and the music is honestly underrated. (can you guys release the theatre music on Spotify? thanks.)

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

TL;DR - beautiful and underrated gears game, some microtransactions? sure, but is it really bad? no.
