LEAD ME TO THE SLAUGHTER

My only gripe is the block mechanic which can be janky at times, otherwise love the game. Can't wait to see what they've got in store for us.

Love the Aliens universe, AFE doesn't quite grab the scare factor but is focused more on the Marines/Swarm mode. Personally as much as I love the dark jump scares of AVP/Colonial Marines, I thoroughly enjoy gunning down hundreds of xenos with my Smartgun.

Played two matches so far. First match with random parter, he suicided by running into a pack of zombies, I explored until I was killed by the bee swarm monster thing. Second match I was partnered with some kind of pro. We snuck around getting the clues, found the butcher's hideout, killed the two people banishing it and stole the bounty. Decided after killing another pair that came for us that we wanted the spider as well, followed the clues, exterminated, banished and extracted without a hitch. The stark differences are amazing, would HIGHLY recommend playing with a friend that you can cooperate with, or enjoy the risk of the random. The atmosphere is what attracted me to this game in the first place, the idea behind it next. Not too keen on the permadeath, would love to see another mode added in, but the anxiety is all part of the fun. Similar concept to Escape from Tarkov, but in a way more interesting setting.

Magicka with guns and aliens... What's not to like?

Looks old, plays a little clunky. Fun as hell though.
