It is indeed, unfortunately locked at 30fps. I heard the exact same thing, as well, that the FPS was tied to the animations. It's still really great though, I love it so far. I know it isn't that old, but it's giving me a strange sense of nostalgia.

It seems pretty good so far. While I like Suda51 games I always have a hard time fully getting into them. While the style and storytelling in his games are always pretty awesome he doesn't really make the best games gameplay-wise. No More Heroes being the worst offender. I really wanted to see the ending of the game but the combat and general gameplay was just god awful. Atleast this seems to be a big improvement even if it's not amazingly good

Silly indeed xD But that's okay, I forgive you. And I'd appreciate that, me and Conner are meaning to play more of it soon when things become less stressful: being the end of the college year and all that. We've not gotten very far at all, but so far we're really intrigued and interested in it, and the storytelling and setting and music is just beautiful, like you said. We're excited to venture further, even though we're a bit annoyed we didn't discover you could save the game until AFTER we quit it xD And yes that's right, I thought Chinese Room sounded familiar! And there's no doubt about that :3
