One of the best games I've played. Thanks to Obsidian. Not Bethesda. Please keep that in mind. If you're looking for other games made in the same style, please do not take in consideration the rest of the fallout games or the elder scrolls and just check out Obsidian Entertainment's new game "Outer Worlds". Nobody needs a company that threw away all their fans cared about for a quick buck.

Also, ♥♥♥♥ YOU Bethesda for considering all the former countries that were forced under the Soviet Union as part of current Russia. You really had to add that RU to my game even if I'm in Romania, didn't you? More so, the page is completely broken now and says I don't own the game cause of this little Russia "accident".

Premise? Good. Music? Good. Rest's a mess and it becomes more obvious the more you play. A great idea executed in a very bad way. The ultimate despair is when you've already spent a while playing it and just then realize the problems with it.

I was almost about to write a negative review, due to some things I believe to be bad design in this game. Either way, I am not gonna. If anyone is reading this and having trouble with the game or being not sure if the game is really okay to play being given all the "difficulty" warnings, check up this strategy below :

1.Upgrade the stage coach continuously till you get at least 4 people every week. Preferably 5.
2.Take everyone you get, no matter their goods or bads.
3.Separate the people you get in 2 : decent enough to play with and "absolute trash"
4.Wait till you get a medium expedition in any of the zones
5.Send the unlucky absolute trashes on a medium expedition with no provisions and keep going till you either get close to win or your people start dying.
6.DO NOT win it! RETREAT instead. That way, you won't progress with the dungeon and it won't get harder the next times, but you will still take all the loot.
7.Repeat till you get enough loot to max-upgrade everything in the hamlet, then you have no chances of losing the game anymore and still keep the good people you get.
8.Profit. After all, the game tells you to get used to people dying. So why not get them killed yourself?

The fallout 76 of touhou fangames.
Do you like boring repetitive gameplay? Do you like randomly beating the same enemies over and over? Do you like maps with tons of copy-pasted areas that feel like pointless mazes? Do you like plots that start with a good premise but then stop being interesting? Do you enjoy low-quality textures and some boring remixes of actual good touhou ost? Do you like being unable to shoot the enemy properly because of the way the game works and fighting against the camera and being unable to see stuff you should see? Do you like having bugs like falling through the ground? Don't worry, having two playable characters doesn't mean you have two different stories, its just literally the same game with a few words written differently! Lets not forget the extremely easy boss fights, we can't have the game actually challenge the player now, can we? All for the amazingly LOW price of 15 euros!
Yknow what I recommend you if you don't like what I said in this? Just go buy Disappearing Of Gensokyo instead! It's a newer game, with better story, better music, better art, better gameplay and actual challenging fights! Don't waste your money on this please.

A great fangame, having exactly what you'd want from a touhou game :
Good music
Fun/challenging gameplay
Several playable characters(too bad some are DLC-only)
Good art
Story ( which wasn't bad at all, being given it even has two different endings depending on a choice you make, changing the final boss of the game)

If you are a touhou fan, I completely recommend you this game, its well worth its price.

Pros :
-Extreme replay value (had at least 200 runs and didn't get bored even once cause things were always different)
-8 playable characters
-Limited but well thought story that isn't pushed on the players and is only there to make the experience better
-Unique gameplay mechanics that offer a twist to the dungeon crawler genre
-Tons. Tons. TONS of items and guns.
-Great art
-Amazing music
-Challenging bosses
-Different game modifiers that can challenge the player more or less
-Guns Puns
-You can pet the dog. You know you want to.

Cons :
-Sometimes it feels like they didn't use some mechanics they had in the game nearly enough. For example, signs : they are only used in the tutorial and in the shop, the punchout minigame : can only happen once per run and players could really use some kind of training mode for it.
-Its a rare thing to happen (only happened to me once in 200 runs), but you can encounter bugs which can even ruin your run
-The rat

One of my favorite games so far. Deserves a thorough review.

First, of course, the story. I won't spoil anything, but this game has an amazing story, well-thought and filled with amazing moments. The player has to piece the story slowly as they progress through the game and it unfolds in a way that keeps you wanting more. It sets certain expectations just to break them later on. The dialogue is well written, everything makes sense and nothing feels out of place. Depending on the player's actions, there are a few different endings. If you want to know more, just play it yourself, cause its definitely best to go in blind.

Second. The characters. I love them. Every single one of them. They have distinct personalities and I eventually got so attached to them that I'll really miss this game. Its fun to see the interactions between them and slowly you realize that they all have their own secrets.

Next : the art. Baroque Decay has a pretty simple pixelated art style that works amazingly well. The characters' emotion are shown well, their designs are unique and the environments are easily distinguishable from one another. What I loved most was the way the cutscenes were done. The quality is even better than in Count Lucanor and I am looking forward to more games done in this style!

The music. Love the style of the music. Its so weird but fits so well in the same time. The tracks for the "bosses" were amazing and some of the tracks made me even more scared than I already was. The first few hours were a nightmare. While the characters don't really have themes of their own, the music fits every scene and I think its pretty great.

The mechanics. This was probably one of the best parts of the game. They kept most of the mechanics from Count Lucanor while also adding new ones. Unlike in Count Lucanor, hiding doesn't really feel that annoying anymore, because most times you'll be on the move and just hide for few seconds just to flee to the next place. You have healing items you can buy or find, but its hard to run out of those so I feel like its well balanced. WAY more bosses than in the first game, which is awesome! Each had its own thing and you had to figure out how to escape from those horrifying monstrosities. So the mechanics absolutely impressed me and help a lot with the story as well.

I think the programming is well done. The game feels normal and nothing is really weird. There are small bugs here and there if you really search hard for them but they're being dealt with already. Overall, nothing that would cause the player problems.

So yeah. That's what I think about the game, absolutely loved it and I am looking forward to anything else that Baroque Decay would make. Now go on. Play it. You'll get an upgrade to Class A and credits and won't have to live in the suburbs anymore.

Early-Access-Rezension
Alright, initially I was gonna write a short review for this , but I feel the need to show exactly what I think about this game, since it is possibly one of the best games in the indie genre.

First off, the story. It is interesting, original and has a lot of secrets. Heck , there is even an arg and symbols you can decode and stuff like that, which offer some more info on it. I will not spoil anything, but its well done and revealed at a fairly slow pace. At least in my opinion, it feels like the actual story of the game is fairly symbolic at times.

Second, the characters. There's a pretty wide cast of characters to meet, maybe not as wide as in other games, but all of them are unique and interesting in their own way. The dialogue is nice and well written, the characters themselves make you want more interaction and overall they make this world much more interesting than it already was.

The art. Now, that's possibly the best feature this game has, even if the story and combat system are comparable to the quality of those of Undertale. Its amazing. It looks like someone spent years learning art, then drew something and pixelated it. I absolutely love it and it offers the game a really really nice atmosphere in every place you go. Congrats , Shaye, you've probably made the best art I've ever seen in an RPG Indie game.

The music. I want to talk a little about the music. It has an interesting style. I cannot really explain it but...it absolutely fits with every moment of the game. In the forest...during fights...it just works perfectly. Its interesting and enjoyable and I'd listen to it even outside of the game. What I do feel is that maybe it lacks the use of "motifs". Or at least as far as I went through the game it lacks. I don't even know, maybe I just didn't pay enough attention.

The mechanics. I absolutely love the mechanics and the attention to detail in this game. There are secret interactions, a place where you store items from throughout your journey , a strange book that saves your game...and the combat. I am addicted to it. Just, compared to all the indie RPG games that were released so far...it feels like breathing fresh air for once in years. Its refreshing. The combat is unique and can become fairly difficult. Maybe I didn't play enough games, but I have never seen this kind of combat so far. And. Let's not forget the fact that your choices matter. Besides Undertale this is the only game of this type I've seen to have choices that affect the story so much. Just choosing between two items in a certain situation, or fighting and refusing to fight... It will always slightly change things. Again, the attention to detail is just outstanding!

The programming is well done. I didn't see any bug as far as I played and Pirate Software actually do streams on twitch when they work on the game and I absolutely recommend you to check them out , because they're pretty interesting and fun and you can even get to chat with the developers! Now that I'm at that, the developers are awesome! They even have a discord server they're often online in. They're really nice people and I am so so glad I got to talk with them.

Alright, sorry for the long review. I'm gonna end it here. TLDR : this game is an absolutely amazing example of an indie rpg game where your choices matter and it feels almost as good as Undertale ( sorry to bring that comparision again ). Definitely is already better than a lot of RPG games I've played , even if still in early access. I absolutely recommend you to try this game if you enjoyed Undertale , OneShot or any game of that type.

Don't Starve Together has a really interesting way of pulling you in the game. With its interesting graphics , its challenging difficulty ( both the seasons and the bosses make this game fairly difficult , but that also makes it more fun in my opinion ) , its charming environment ( catcoons are adorable but still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying ) , its lore thats connected with don't starve as well and its enemies ( spiders , bosses , the darkness ) make this game a perfect choice if you have a small group of friends and don't know what to play. It can be fun by yourself too but I find it way superior with friends. This game is awesome and unique!
