First off, Children of Morta is an insanely fun game!

However, it is heavily marketed towards, and clearly designed for co-op play. That's what I purchased it for, and boy does it SUCK.

There is no local network play, and the networking is so god-awful that the game is infuriating to play beyond the first couple of levels in co-op due to the ridiculous amount of lag, rubber-banding, and de-syncs as the second player. I couldn't even imagine how bad it gets playing with more than two players.

I'm playing with one other person and we are both hardwired into the same network switch. Barring the fact that it _should_ communicate over the local network...we're on a fiber internet connection which typically has less than 10ms ping. There is zero excuse for how absolutely terrible the co-op experience is.

Also, resolution complications and controller problems abound, but I'd be willing to overlook those if not for the above issue ruining the game.

Brilliant game in every aspect: the art style, the music, the ambiance, the story, and most importantly the game play.

While the story itself is not terribly long, don't let that keep you from playing this absolute gem of a game. The story line and pacing is great. There are quite a few secrets to discover along the way as well for those that like to explore (I haven't finished 100% yet!)

The combat seems very simplistic on the surface, but developing strategies is key to survival, especially on the later-game boss fights. For me, it is exactly the right amount of challenge. The game never got frustrating or boring -- it was perfect the whole way through.

While it is a short game, it is very addicting and entertaining, and definitely worth the $5 entrance fee. Any fans of old zelda games will feel right at home playing this.

Great F2P MMOFPS. Huge maps, and plenty of players. Very dynamic gameplay.
