GUCCI MANE: DISCUSSIONS ON HUMAN PRESENTATION: VOL I: "THE SAUCE"

"Why sir, I must inquire you on this conundrum: Is it particularly difficult to keep yourself in good favour with others without an amount of capital? Or is capital not as necessary to staying well regarded as one would immediately presume? "

"Well, on past recollection, when I had once lacked the necessary wealth to improve my social standing, I was still known for my unique way of carrying myself which was in itself much more effective in keeping myself in good favour than on capital alone. As a matter of fact, to elaborate further on that point, it is absolutely necessary for yourself to have that unique personality and behaviour, otherwise any increase in capital to improve yourself will not be substantial to your success. However, it should especially noted that excessive attention to one's way of carrying themselves can be just as detrimental to one's success as to not have it all."

"Really? Is it as such that excessive attention could be detrimental? What is it in particular that attention to one's character in surplus could possibly harm your social standing?"

"Well that's just a fact of life, to be frank with it. It's an inevitability that they will focus too hard on their character and not give attention to other, more important aspects of one's self. My good man, do you understand the point I'm conveying?"

"Yes, that point seems rather clear, sir."

"Indeed. Even now, you can see that I'm still conducting myself to an acceptable societal standard here. I don't make many attempts to shoehorn bits of eccentricity into every aspect of this conversation. That would over-saturate our discussion here with unrelated oddities, replacing any meaningful substance with various quirks that can't be built into a unified expression to convey my thoughts. As the saying goes, too many vegetables will spoil the broth."

"I see. I beg your pardon, but I am rather curious regarding the nature of uniqueness. To be specific, can a unique identity develop solely upon the natural course of your lively interactions, forming itself on the culmination of your natural worldly observations alone? Or is it similar to that of the aforementioned capital where it must acquired over time?"

"Dear lord man, that is absurd. Why of course you can't happen-stance yourself in a state of eccentricity. Please, explain to me how one could present themselves to you in a unique and interesting manner without prior putting in the effort to establish a personality moulded over several years of experiences? Simply put, you must put in a significant amount of effort to develop a unique style of presenting yourself to others. Much like a good cut of steak, the flavourful seasonings and sauces must come after, it is an improvement to the initial base of the meat. The sauce is not inherent to the meat, it something that must be obtained and well made to mix well with the flavours of the meat. I can certainly attest that none of my interesting quirks were inherent to the state of my birth. All of it was acquired over time as I became more familiar with the world I lived in and to what personality traits and social conduct others gravitated towards."
