Random scares, jumpscares, micro-scares, super creepy, this is absolutely Jeff Winner's best game so far!

DeathOmen is one of those horror games that really gets under your skin. The scares are well-crafted and not just random jolts to catch you off guard. From the start, you can feel that something’s off, but it doesn’t hit you with everything at once. The game takes its time, letting the tension slowly build up, and that’s what makes it so effective.

The level design is incredible. Every area feels carefully thought out, creating an atmosphere that constantly keeps you on edge. It’s not about loud noises or flashy jumpscares; it’s about setting a mood, making you feel uncomfortable, and never really letting go.

What I really love is how the game doesn’t rush the scares. It doesn’t just throw random moments of terror at you without explanation. Instead, you’re gradually introduced to strange things, and it gives you enough clues that something bad is coming, but it never delivers too soon. The pacing is perfect, and when the big moments do happen, they’re shocking and intense.

Even though the game is on the shorter side, it’s worth every penny. DeathOmen is a game that builds up real suspense and delivers terror when you least expect it. It’s a tight, focused experience that sticks with you long after you’re done.

A solid 10/10.

A well-made remake! Usually, when they remake movies or games and mess it up, people complain. But this is the first time I’ve seen a developer do such a great remake and still get criticized with comments like 'it doesn’t add anything.'

1 – The map looks beautiful.
2 – The Slender model is clearly not a purchased asset; it’s obvious it was made specifically for this game.
3 – The addition of the map view was a genius idea – you know where the pages are, but you still get lost because you panic, especially knowing Slender is right behind you, haha.
4 – You have two sacred circles where you take the 8 pages, and when you get there with all of them, you get to watch Slender burn.

'Doesn’t add anything?' Hahaha, sure.

I’ve been following the dev’s work for a while, since Hallowseed, and I have two of his games on my wishlist. The guy has a simple yet unique style when it comes to presenting horror games.

And I can definitely say that Slender Reborn is a well-done REMAKE. I really enjoyed it!

Genuine scary game!

I'll go straight to the point:

  • The developer managed to unite the basics of any horror game here, making you easily familiar with the mechanics.
But at the same time he put his unique vision.
  • It's not an extremely difficult game, but it's not easy either.
It has very simple puzzles, but none of them escapes the logic proposed in the game.
  • If you play with an open mind, you will be able to see how this developer is unique.
I could have finished the game in 2h 30m maybe, I think, but I preferred to scrutinize every detail.
I realized how people value a game for its gameplay time and not for what it is in itself.
I saw people complaining about the price, and crucifying the developer, as if it was his fault, that 1C charged $20 for the game.

  • I got scared!
  • I got surprised!
  • I don't regret having paid the full price, and I'm following the dev, to see what else he has in the future.
  • It's a game with a dense atmosphere and magnificent details.
  • It's a game made by 1 solo developer.

    My advice to the dev:

    1 - Don't publish games with 1C anymore
2 - Focus on small games, I think you've found a niche here.
3 - Never give up, even with some users notoriously doing negative reviews just to hit you.
They can't develop games like you!

    Thanks for this gem!

    100% recommended!

I never imagined zombies like that!
I don't think I'll ever like another zombie game after this one.
Do you recommend me a better one?

Of course I'm just getting started, but I already feel like it's very frantic, and you can't stop playing lol.

These days, I felt like it's almost impossible to reach the achievements. lol
I keep trying.
