This is an amazing game, and if you are considering buying it I would absolutely NOT recommend you do so.

A shame really, as it's one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time. However, it is only possible to play in short bursts. Why you ask? Nier:Automata should be sold as a freezing unit rather than a video game, as that is most definitely its absolute favourite thing to do.

To add insult to injury, this game does not at any point autosave. I welcome this feature, as it incentives exploration of the maps to find the save locations. Not that you'll be exploring the slideshow game world for long before the game crashes entirely and you lose all of your progress, but, ya know, it's a nice thought.

Generally, I then find myself for the next 30-60 minutes engaging in an interesting mix of intense profanity alongside contemplating what my PC would look like if I drove a large sledgehammer into its centre. Then I start looking though the simply vast selection of 'fixes'; of which none work.

Even if by some act of the gods this game works for an extended period of time, I may as well hand-draw every frame to give me a higher framerate than this game provides. Even at lower settings, without any of the fancy stuff, 30 FPS is a luxury rarely seen, and running the game in fullscreen somehow renders worse quality than running borderless windowed.

In summary I can heartily recommend this game to anyone going for a personal best deadlift or maybe prepping for a boxing match. Play for 5 minutes on this (and that's all you're gonna get whether you like it or not) and you'll be filled with hellish anger that would cause even Gordon Ramsey to run away scared.

For anyone in the market for a video game I'd give this one a miss.

Awful, the driving is dodgey, the graphics really aren't that pretty and there are very few cars. I just hope it will be better when it's finished because at the moment I feel cheated out of £20
