Linux Compatibility: Platinum(Deck Verified)
I had no issues running this on my Linux, everything worked perfectly.(System info in my profile page)

It's a hard game and if you don't like grinding, you might not enjoy this. There is permadeath so if you die, you'll have to restart the game from the very beginning.
The roguelike aspect of the game doesn't disappoint, you can drink liquor(powerups) at the bar every now and then after clearing 2-3 levels.
The gameplay, audio and music.... everything is perfect however it is a hard game. I have played 9-10 hours by now and I have only been able to clear 16 rooms max.

Linux Support: Works with any version of Proton, however when I hit Alt+Tab and go back into the game, a black screen appears and the game crashes. The game also freezes on LInux every now and then, there is a workaround for it to quicksave and close the game so that I don't lose progress but it's pretty annoying to restart the game.
Overall Linux Rating: Silver(ProtonDB) for me.

I'd start out by saying that the game experience is pretty customizable, I don't get why people are whining about frequent raiders and looters attacking or harassing their base. You can lower the raider/looter percentage so that you don't have to face them frequently. [Note: This is not possible in Story mode, the story mode is just a long ass tutorial for the game and it's honestly pretty useless.]
You can also increase/decrease the deer/rabbit population and adjust the percentage of different strains of zombies. You can even increase the loot, rivers, roads, towns, survivor camps etc. in the game.
If the 1km2 map is too small for you, install the "SIS Map Settings" mod from the Steam Workshop to increase the max limit for everything.
Once you are accustomed to the game mechanics and controls, install some mods from the Steam workshop so that the game doesn't get boring for you. The number of buildings and weapons in the base game are pretty low.

Cons:
1) The game has a lot of items that do not have the correct weights.
2) You can't rotate the camera or buildings freely, they only rotate in four(NEWS) directions which kinda sucks.
3) The game needs named saves(saves that you can name yourself) and a confirmation to delete save games too, I have deleted my save games multiple times accidentally.
4) Honestly, a lot of the game systems are underutilized. There should have been more quests, weapons and buildings in the vanilla game. The mod Zedmulate fixes this to an extent but there is still a lack of quest variety.
The zombies also need variety. The difference between the different strains of zombies is just their health and armor.

Don't get me wrong, the game is extremely fun to play however it has it's shortcomings. I hope that if the dev ever makes a sequel, they fix these issues. I am surprised that the game doesn't have more reviews on steam. It's a pretty solid game for it's price.

Mod Recommendations(on Steam Workshop):
1)all the SIS mods by steamuser "sweetcaptn"(choose them based on your preferences)
2)More Storages(adds crates that allow more storage than the default crate)
3)Zedmulate(A huge update for the game, Adds a lot of new weapons, items and buildings in the game)

System:
RTX 3050 6GB
Intel i5 12450H
16GB DDR5 RAM
FPS:85-100 on high settings

R.I.P Monolith
Ya'll deserved better.
I completed this a few months ago.
F.E.A.R 2 is your average FPS shooter of the late 2000s. It wasn't as revolutionary as the first F.E.A.R, crysis or COD:MW1.
It just felt average, nothing stood out about this game but it wasn't that bad either. In my opinion, the DLC for FEAR 2 is actually better than the base game although it's only about 40-50 minutes.
The worst downgrade I noticed in F.E.A.R 2 was the level design and the peek option being removed. The armour suit was fun to use but it wasn't some mindblowing addition to the game. It's definitely better than F.E.A.R 3 but it's not as good as the first part. The only new weapon in the game was the napalm cannon and it was just horrible to use.
There are some memorable parts in the game and the gunplay is decent,
The only reason I am not giving it a negative review is because it's not a bad game, it's just average.
Would I recommend this game? Probably not, there are much better FPS games to play. Although I would suggest you to just buy the bundle during sales because the price difference between F.E.A.R 1 and FEAR complete pack isn't that huge and if you wanna play it for the story then you will have the option to do so if you get the bundle.

S tier story.
<spoiler> The ending was a cliffhanger hinting a potential sequel but it probably got cancelled. </spoiler>
The visuals are pretty stunning for a 8.5 year old game. If the visuals are blurry, kindly turn off upscaling and restart the game. The way the game managed to visually represent broken time through distortions and particle effects was quite creative.
The pacing is kinda bad in this game, there is a lot of stuff to read and listen to which can break the immersion sometimes.
The gunplay is good in my opinion, the powers are pretty fun to use but there is a lack of enemy variety which makes it repetitive after a certain point.
A lot of people complained about the live shows but it wasn't that bad in my opinion. The actors did a decent job.
100% the game is kinda easy and so is obtaining all the achievements. To be honest, it doesn't matter to me for a story rich genre game.

S-tier, one of it's kinda game. I thank valve for adding native linux support to all their games. It ran perfectly on my system.

There is a certain charm to the game. Maybe it's the "goofy Wheatley and the snarky GlaDos" or the cute turrets or the amazing puzzles.
The voice actors and dialogue/story writers did a marvellous job. They made the player feel that the robots are alive and gave an amazing personality to each of the characters. The level designers also did a great job at creating complex puzzles with a handful of mechanics. For some experienced players they might feel a bit too easy but I am sure that the Co-op and community made levels will satisfy their hunger for really hard brain challenging levels.

I have not played the Co-Op yet but I am looking forward to playing them as soon as possible. The game also has countless mods, if you are looking forward to buying this game I would like to suggest you to check out the Portal mods on steam after finishing the game if you would like to have MORE Portal!
Have a good day <3.

Well it's CS2 duhh, I only played casual mode but the game kept crashing after 30 mins(I am on Linux Mint).
I got 16GB DDR5 ram, i5 12450H and RTX 3050 6GB variant and I am not sure why it's happening so I would be leaving a negative review for now. The casual mode is quite enjoyable for me but it would be nice if the game didn't crash every 30 mins.

I completed the single player twice(cause I got a new laptop and wanted to complete it again on the highest settings). It's a decent single player experience but it's very short(6 hours). I enjoyed the missions and the story, they were more "realistic" compared to COD MW/BOPs series but it didn't make the game any better. The NPCs were kinda stoopid but the shooting was pretty fun. If you have 5-10$ then the single player might be worth trying out, I got it for about 3$ because of regional pricing and it wasn't a bad game for it's price. As far as I know the multiplayer is dead. Also it has peek mechanics if I remember correctly, I like games that allow you to peek.

I ran it on Linux and it worked fine with the Proton-GE layer. Overall a 6.5/10 for me, it's not an innovative game but it's a good grab during sales.

[EDIT : RIP Monolith, I hope the devs have who got laid off have a successful career ahead. Thanks to your games for teaching me game design]
10/10 game. It's almost 2 decades old but it still holds up today.
The most talked about point in this game is it's AI which is simply better than the enemy AI in a lot of modern games. The enemies react to your flashlight, noise of footsteps, noise of melee smashes etc.
I won't go into the details because I would like you to see and figure it out yourself.
Secondly, it's one of it's kind of game. A horror shooter FPS set in a corporate setting. I know there are many horror shooter FPS games but none come close to this.
The sound design is on point and actually makes you $hit your pants during a jumpscare. The soundtrack and sound design is just pure eargasm material. Apart from that the environmental storytelling is great too, the piles of dead bodies and phone calls convey the backstory of the game.
The environment is also quite interactive. Walls break off when you shoot them with really heavy guns or grenade launchers, shooting books causes small paper pieces to fly around, cups and glasses break etc. Glasses also produce sound when you walk over them. This might not seem like a big deal however many modern games lack these details.
There are two non canon DLCs for this game called the extraction point and perseus mandate which are installed along with the base game, it's the reason why the game's size is 16GB despite being so old. The DLCs are standalone non canon games.
The order is "base game -> Extraction point -> Perseus Mandate"
I would definitely recommend you to try out these DLCs since they are far superior than the sequels.
Extraction point is as good as the base game and takes about 5 hours to complete.
A lot of people hate perseus mandate which is kinda justified since it released in Nov of 2007, the same month the first crysis came out. The graphics of perseus mandate were horrible but if you want more FEAR after trying out the first one and extraction point, I would definitely recommend Perseus Mandate.
It has more enemy varieties than the other two games and more gun and I didn't face any bugs in it except two really minor ones.
The bundle goes for a really cheap price during sales. Do consider it.

I am 70% done with this game, it's like a A-tier game for me. If it was 2007 and the game had just released it would have been an S-tier game.
I ran it on Linux Mint and it ran perfectly, I used Proton-GE to run it but I am sure it will run on the latest proton version.
The good stuff about the game :-
The game accommodates every kind of playstyle, I personally liked using the stealth mechanics to play the game but you can also play aggressively.
Well the combat is amazing too and you can do a lot of goofy stuff with the cloak(invisibility) armour. The game also doesn't bother you with some stupid lore. The story is simple and the main focus is on allowing the player to choose their playstyle and have fun with it.

The bad stuff about the game :-
1)The AI was really weird in some places and I encountered some dead bodies doing T-poses when I revisited the same location ingame.
2)Some of the character models looked better in the original game like psycho. The graphics have significantly improved but it doesn't justify it being unoptimized.

Apart from that the game is pretty much perfect, it's kinda like far cry 3 if you were given an armour with superpowers.

Also, the game has a classic controls mode for selecting the armour mode if you want to have the original crysis experience. I enjoyed the newer control system though since switching to different armours was kinda tedious.

For new players who have not played the original crysis, there is a peek option too but it has really weird default control settings due to which many players might miss it or discover it late in the game. I would suggest you to change the settings for peek to Q and E for peeking left and right respectively and assign the armour controls to Capslock and LeftCtrl or if you have the extra two buttons on the mouse, you can assign them to those side buttons.

THE GAME WAS STOLEN FROM IT"S CREATORS. I wish there could be a sequel for this game but I don't think it's possible anymore

For linux users using proton, this game might crash occasionally. For me, opening the clothes section in the inventory used to trigger a crash sometimes so please save every 5-10 mins if you don't wanna lose your progress. I didn't find a fix for it on ProtonDB but there might be one in the future I guess.

Damn, I finished this game a few minutes ago. Probably the best game I ever played in the story/rpg genre. Well there isn't much of gameplay here, it's kinda like a really loooong novel where you can make the decisions. Politics plays an integral role in the game. This game made me interested in reading political literature.

Advice :-
1)Please don't savescum, I did this and regretted it. Learn to live with your decisions.
2)Don't watch any videos or read a fandom page if you don't wanna spoil the game, if you are thinking that you are stuck on a quest for too long then please have patience, don't go and read a guide from IGN or gamebanshee as it ruins the fun.
3)There are no right or wrong choices, you can't get every scene/outcome by just playing the game once. There are some decisions for which you will have to reload a save or start a new game,
4)This game is not for everyone, if you don't like reading you won't enjoy this game.
Have a good day <3
