It's actually amazing. Just from these betas it's already great. As a platform fighter, the fast-paced nature of it and low barrier to entry are incredible. A few issues have to be ironed out but overall a good time. Hopefully they keep the ball rolling with new content in the future.
I've heard people that haven't even played the game dismiss it and hate it "because it's so based on a meme" but it isn't in the slightest. If you think the selling point is the Shaggy meme or some other meme the developers have embraced, actually play the damn game. It's not based on a meme, it's based on being a good game that does right by these fan-favorite characters and franchises we all know and love.
Having funny references does not exempt this from being a good game, hell, it's the best game that I've played this year. You can tell by playing it that this game is a love letter from the developers to these franchises we all grew up with, from Tom and Jerry fighting each other to do damage, to Bugs Bunny talking about how he's been doing this before most of the others were in diapers, and yes, to the Ultra Instinct Shaggy memes being embraced.

This game consistently brings me from focus, happiness, and satisfaction to wanting to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die in the literal blink of an eye.
Also the sound design is great. Making a lasagna sounds like I'm slapping the ♥♥♥♥ out of the customer, I love it.

The first day I had it, we played the game for 14 hours straight. I've spent over 200 hours over the last month in Four Souls, Tapeworm, Jojonopoly, Spirit Island, Card Wars from Adventure Time, Sentinels Of The Multiverse, much much more.
It's $20 for access to every tabletop game that exists and the ability to create your own. I don't know about you but that seems like a pretty good deal.

Bot problems are a pain but as a whole, this game is still fun.

It's a fun, short, semi-challenging puzzle game. It's fantastic, especially considering it's free.

This game is great, War Of The Chosen is totally worth getting. Also, they didn't NEED to give it Steam Workshop compatibility but they did. It's just a great game, nothing more needs to be said.

It's a great game (I played on console, that's why I have so few hours on this game). It's solid fun, it's a well-made RPG with a meta story and a lot of humor based around tabletop games, video games, and role-playing.

However, towards the late-game, once most of the side quests start to get exausted and the main quest starts heavily ramping up in difficulty, and can become a real drag. Lots of grinding at the very end and no great way of doing it because by then you've either already been grinding for hours or have done every notable side quest. Couple this with the fact that most late-game quests are just doing simple actions like travelling somewhere you'll never go again and it ends up feeling like they're just padding out the gameplay.

Overall, it's a good game, well-balanced and humorous with a neat story, but the gameplay towards the end leaves a lot to be desired.

Early Access Review
Very silly game, very fun, but also a really good strategical game despite its appearance. Of all the battle simulators, I would say this is the most accurate. ;P
