Overall: A fun isometric tactical RPG game the likes of Original Sin. Very rough around the edges, but developer is actively making improvements and listening to feedback.

Review: This is a beta build and everyone should be aware that the final product will likely not carry some of the bigger issues found throughout. There is no shortage of smaller problems though. Combat particularly feels tougher than it needs to be simply because there're no targeting lines or movement checkpoints implemented. A lof of Zoria feels like someone reinventing the wheel on tactical combat in an RPG. Also, the balance is way off with some enemies straight up murdering a member of your party before you had an opportunity to even act in a given turn. That all being said, the atmosphere and charm of the game is there. Feels like it would make for a fun experience down the line when everything is properly fleshed out.

Overall: Sci-fi, rogue-like, first-person shooter with power mechanics eerily similar to Bioshock 2. Fun time exploring the vastness of the space station and its surrounding... space.

Review: Most of the entertainment in this game comes from exploration and choosing which approach to use in most presented situations. Prey is really grounded in its first-person combat, so it leans heavily into trying to make you a combat machine with diverse and heavy-hitting abilities. Neuromods, as they are called, are just renamed Adam and Plasmids, rolled into one. With said Neuromods, you can spec your character in what would appear almost an RPG-style element. Another surprising aspect of Prey is the depth to the illusion of choice. You can kill and destroy almost anything. You can end a quest-giver while they are relaying the quest. The game continues gracefully and there are even options for playing as a complete psychopath and wrapping up the game anyway. Prey struggles a bit on the technical side, with often hilarious bugs (e.g. moonwalking enemies and things getting stuck). There is also a flaw which comes from knowing the game too well; completing certain objectives before they even start can result in certain areas getting locked out or certain quests/events never triggering. Mostly a New Game+ problem though. As a final note, I'd say anyone who enjoyed Bioshock for the action and The Evil Within for rogue and situational variety would likely enjoy Prey as well.

DLC: Incredibly underwhelming, but altogether predictable. Prey opts for the approach of having an arena-style DLC, Mooncrash. I would describe it as repetitive with very basic story. It adds nothing of value, but it doesn’t really take away from the core game.

Overall: An excellent spiritual successor to The Suffering series. Run around and shoot until out of ammo and then run some more while questioning whether the hiding spots are bugged or not.

Review: Very fun survival horror shooter with a lot of gameplay elements lifted from The Suffering franchise. You control the protagonist Sebastian as he blasts his way through nightmare horrors. Though you are armed to the teeth, there are times that you will question whether to run or stand your ground. Unlike a lot of games in this genre, you can pick either variant in most scenarios. One flaw is how the game achieves its tension, which is through instant death cutscenes which are tied to how quick you can perform certain actions. Thanks to a generous checkpoint system, it’s not too much of a chore to restart a section. The story is a twist which leaves a lot of holes for DLC to fill, but even after it all, there are still unanswered questions. DLC in general is fairly lacking with two of the three pieces of content dedicated to stealth and instant death type of scenarios. Last piece of DLC is just silly with you controlling The Keeper and bashing everyone into oblivion. Overall, the core package is competent and at times very scary. Those with liking topics of general psychology will find the story subject matter particularly interesting.

Overall: Short and sweet, point-and-click adventure game with simple puzzles and brief story.

Review: Though the entirety of the game is incredibly short, Tormentum - Dark Sorrow is a fun experience. Puzzles are simplistic and can be solved with only a modicum of attention to detail. Art and visuals is where Tormentum stands out. There are some fantastic vistas which look like something of a lucid nightmare. Graphic aftermath of in-game decisions make for that cherry-on-top in creepiness. As far as the story goes, it can be described as a bit underwhelming, but not predictable. More interesting than the story are the choices that your character makes during the journey which can range from benevolent to psychopathic.
