I've been a long time fan of this series and playing GFL2 on PC since Darkwinter, EN, launched. It is a great game within a great series that will only get better as updates release over time to include more content and characters.

The story may start off a bit slow but the great cast of main characters make it much more enjoyable, especially as the pace begins to pick up with a wonderful payoff for a certain character at the end of chapter 8. In addition to the campaign, there are several journal entries and memory scenes, played like a typical VN, for almost every character in the game, this includes some not yet released in EN as of writing this. The world of GFL is an intriguing one that has kept me a fan for several years and after a long awaited EN release, this game is definitely living up to its hype for me.

Gameplay is a more 'simplified' version of the closest comparison being Xcom, however there are no percentages for accuracy. Instead each character has their own set of skills at your command, with specific attributes to use against certain weaknesses. It can be considered a grind to level up characters as there is EXP leveling, obtaining a proper weapon for them, leveling said weapon, obtaining fortifications (merges) for each character, and more. It can feel overwhelming but if you stick with a solid team for a while clearing story content should not be a problem.

The game regularly adds new events and characters about every 3 weeks so there is always something to come back to. Platoons, aka Guilds, to join will essentially become your 'late game content' as you work with others in your platoon to get more rewards.

Overall this game is one I have quickly come to love, it has fantastic characters and a world that is easy to be absorbed into as you learn more and more. I highly recommend not just this game but the entire series as it is all well written. If you have a favorite character in the series or one you look forward to being added to GFL2, it will make the game that much more enjoyable as you build her up to the best she can be.

I love this game, I got hyped a complete second time and bought it again, and I still loved playing through it. The game's amazing, pure hype in the form of a game. Giant mechs? Yup those are there. How about talking robot wolves with chainsaws? We got those too. How about a soundtr-RULES OF NATURE!

Seriously, the game runs completely smooth for me, and aside for a few issues with resolution, the game is essentially running perfectly in every way at an amazing, constant framerate. Add in some fun combat and this has to be one of my favorite games in a long time. Honestly you can't take this game seriously, you just have to sit back and enjoy it as even the game doesn't take itself serious.

The game isn't perfect, far from it though it is fun. This is the developer's 2nd NASCAR game, first on PC, and it improves from the first a bit but still isn't perfect at what it does. I've played NASCAR video games all my life and this is is still fun for all the flaws it has. Those flaws can be quite noticeable at times though, such as the AI being complete idiots at some tracks where as on others they never miss a step.

Visually the game is amazing, looks great with good audio to go with it. If Eutechnyx could buckle down and fix their AI, they would knock it out of the park. Sadly it seems they enjoy making what they can playable then pushing it out for cash.

Some of these bugs that people complain about have been around since their first NASCAR game, on consoles. Not pleasant to see they never fixed them but who knows why they remain the way they are.

You might be wondering why i still recommend this and the only reason I do is because it is fun. it's a NASCAR game, you buy it to drive around in a race car. it's not advertised as a simulator, it's advertised as a NASCAR game and that is what it is. Not a perfect one, there have been NASCAR games that have come way closer than this one, but it is still a fun one nonetheless. I only hope NASCAR 14, with a new publisher supporting them, is where they finally make the NASCAR game we all want.
