One of my favourite games that I will never recommend to another person.

This game is great! Lovely feeling, great climate and amazing music. Enemy design is also great. Each enemy is unique and requires some adaptation in order to defeat, but they're not that hard individually and are even easier once you know their attacks.

However, there's one catch and that is enemy spawns. At certain point, I've noticed that the enemies spawn in the same place and time. This allowed me to clear the first few waves with a breeze and only when I didn't know where the enemies spawned, the game gained on me and I was required to actually manage the swarm of enemies that came running. However, each try I was remembering more and more spawns, allowing me to have a clear arena most of the time. This could be fixed with random spawns, making it impossible to predict their placement and forcing the players to ACTUALLY learn the swarm management.

All in all, the game is fun and I really enjoy it, but predetermined spawns make it much easier if you try to the remember them, and I think the game could really gain from some randomised spawns, as in the order of enemies appearing is the same, but their spawn location isn't. It would also add more chaos to the gameplay that is already quite chaotic.

What can I say about Brawlhalla? Fun and entertaining as long as you're playing with your friends and not going to play rankeds to get the highest rank on the leaderboard while using experience from any other fighting game. I'll be talking mainly about mechanics and the game in terms of competitive, ranked matches.

Someone metioned it already, but I just have to write about this. Dodges and wall camping are mechanics that basically hinder the pleasure that can come from playing this game. Dodges are meant to allow you to be invincible for one attack and to have a big cooldown. However, it doesn't work like that in a practice. People found a lot of ways to give themselves low cooldowns on dodges, making them invulnerable to most of the attacks and all of what they'll be doing is staying passive for the whole match and punishing you for the approach. Wall-camping is another thing that can raise your frustration to the level where it's twice the size of Canis Majoris (google it up). I take a guess that most of the people will think I'm talking about people camping on the edge of the platform just to finish the enemy when they come nearby the wall of a platform. Well, if you're one of those people, you're wrong. Wall-campers are people that hold on to the wall like their life depends on it. They'll be annoying with you by standing on the platform for less than a second just to come back. Before it was even worse because they didn't have to stand on the platform because the wall was all they needed to recover the jumps, dodges and recovery attacks, but one update forced wall-campers to start standing on the platform, but it's still not enough to fight this plague.

However, there's a glimpse of hope for ranked matches. Developers are working on new mechanic and changing the existing one. Dashes are going to be introduced and dodges strongly nerfed. Dodges will have bigger cooldown and the duration of it. Apart from that, there won't be anything like momentum dodge (dodge that can be done right after landing a hit or when running full speed) and because of that, chain dodges (series of momentum dodges that can be done by pressing dodge button shortly before the finish of the first or second dodge) are also going to disappear. In place of them, dashes are going to be introduced and, hopefully, it will punish the passive-floating people from doing so.

Unless you want to play rankeds like me and spend some time (read: 463 hours) playing it just because none of your friends wants to play with you, I recommend it to you! It is perfect when you want to play with your friends, gaming part of the family or FFA because there's almost no possibility you're going to meet people that will be passive.

Based on screenshots, Unturned may look like another Minecraft with more weapons than just bow, sword or axe where you also have to survive in the post-apocalyptic world full of zombies, which basically means much less mobs than in Minecraft. Is it really like Minecraft? Luckily, I have to deny it. The only thing that those two games have similar is the way graphics are presented. Both of these games focus on the models being made out of blocks, but don't let that deceive any of you. Unturned is like DayZ, but with more weapons or items in general, more vehicles, better crafting system, better multiplayer. Apart from all of these, something that REALLY matters are maps that force the player to focus on the specific type of items or vehicles. The map can force you to look for clothes, food, weapon, ammo or specific vehicle that will allow you to move across the map relatively fast. All of that created by ONE person and the optimisation is fantastic! Did I say that it gets updated frequently?

Pros:
-Variety of maps that force you to specific decisions;
-Lots of items that will let you look however you'd like to look;
-Great choice of weaponry that can be modified with tons of mods, allowing you to create a weapon that suits your playstyle;
-LOADS OF VEHICLES!!! Seriously, if you look for the survival game that has a lot of vehicles, Unturned is for you!
-Multiplayer that functions well in case of both co-operation and rivalisation.
-Fantastic optimalisation (bear in mind that I'm talking about one person, not team of people);
-Lots to do, even when playing solo!

Cons:
-Depending on where you are coming from, the community can be so toxic, that you can get cancer;
-Skins and case system, but it's not a big con as it's not as "offensive" as in other games with this system, giving CS:GO as a simple example;
-Some little bugs that can hinder the pleasure coming from playing the game.

Rating: 9.3/10

The game would get 10/10, but there are some little problems that can get pretty annoying after some time.
