Mediocre and overhyped game.

Janky physics, weird controls and the graphics don't look that good.
To add insult to injury the game is plagued with Unreal Engine traversal stutters.
It's very annoying especially for a racing game, I tested the game with top of the line hardware and these performances are simply unacceptable

JDM: Japanese Drift Master had potential but it's not worth the 35€ they are asking for it.
I will stick with Forza Horizon, Test Drive or Tokyo Xtreme Racer, way better games in every possible ways.
Refunding as we speak, this feels like an asset flip or mobile game to be honest.

Don't believe the hype the game is not that good.
Maybe grab it when it'll be around ten bucks, that's a more appropriate price for what is on offer here.

Not as impactful as DOOM Eternal but still a pretty good game.

No hud 4K gameplay with ultra nightmare settings:

Pros:
✅Fast paced and satisfying combat.
✅Amazing graphics.
✅Stunning art direction.
✅Insane gore effects.
✅Great level design.
✅Lots of secrets to find.
✅Decent amount of content.
✅Varied enemies.
✅Good soundtrack.

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3481577500

Cons:
❌Insane price.
❌No multiplayer.
❌It can feel unfair if you get surrounded.
❌No dash, no double jump, combat can feel very grounded.
❌Switching weapons is too slow IMHO.
❌Annoying black bars in cinematics.

At first I was not enjoying DOOM: The Dark Ages much, the combat felt slow and a bit too grounded for me.
However once the new parry and shield system clicked it felt truly amazing to play.
This is definitely the right game to pick if you wanna feel like an unstoppable tank killing machine.

It's very different than DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal yet still familiar, it brings new mechanics and interesting ideas.
Surprisingly the mecha and dragon sections are quite fun and they don't feel too much out of space. They are short and not too intrusive. I hated the clunky dragon dodge movements at first but after a few minutes it felt great.

Without any surprises it's safe to say that the idTech8 engine is a masterpiece.
The graphics looks so damn good and everything runs really well, top tier optimization.
I am playing with everything maxed at 4K on a 5090 + 9800X3D and honestly it's one the best looking game I've played in recent years.

Overall I think that DOOM: The Dark Ages is a great addition to the modern days DOOM trilogy. Nicely done id Software, you did not disappoint, now can we please have a new QUAKE game running with this engine?

Easily recommended if you enjoy single player FPS.
Probably my personal game of the year with Death Stranding 2.

King's Field + Silent Hill + Forbidden Siren.

Gruesome atmosphere, bone chilling music and unsettling retro graphics.
Pretty good and very interesting indie game so far.
I can't wait to delve deeper into this world, currently busy with DOOM: The Dark Ages.
Only complaint I have is the framerate lock but the developers will try to fix that.
Review will be edited later when I will have finished it.

Early Access Review
Sadly it seems the developer gave up on this project. No updates in almost two years and no communications with the very small playerbase that bought the game. Avoid for now and buy Desecrators if you want a good 6DOF game.

Scorn 2 finally.

Amazing graphics and stunning visual style.
Be aware that it's essentially a walking simulator with very cryptic and obtuse puzzles.
If you are fine with that I'd recommend it as it's fairly priced.

Here's few screenshots from the beginning of the game showcasing the immense talents of the developers/artists (maximum settings at 4k):

If you value artistic direction over gameplay then I'm pretty sure you will have a good time with Necrophosis.
Of course it's not perfect and the puzzles can be frustrating at times but I enjoyed it for the most part. The game is very short and you can finish it in like three hours if you don't get stuck on some of the puzzles but I also took my sweet time to explore and take lot of screenshots.

Indie mech souls like made by a small team which is somehow better and more fun than ARMORED CORE VI.
Huge maps with interesting and very complex level design in futuristic industrial megastructure like environments.

The combat is satisfying, it's a bit slow and clunky but still highly enjoyable. I'm not the biggest fan of the lock-on sytem but it's not too bad.
There is a lot of weapons and mech parts to unlock for varied playstyle and build customization.

Graphically the game is not very impressive as it uses Unreal Engine 4.27.2.0 but the art direction is pretty solid.
They must improve performances though because there is massive micro stuttering issues.
I have a 5090 with a 9800X3D and the performances are very bad in certain maps.
Example of the micro stutters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxl7c6BOV88

Overall Dolls Nest is a worthy addition to your mech/souls like collection.
It's far from perfect and janky but it's still lot of fun and for such a low price it's easily recommended.
Not bad at all for an indie game honestly.

Framedrops below 40fps with 5090 and 9800X3D. LMFAO. Check back in a year or two I guess.

Cannot rebind controls as I want, basically unplayable.🤦‍♂️
Right now key rebinding is absolutely broken in this game.
If you don't have programmable keyboard don't bother, its a complete mess.
The game seems to be interesting but cannot recommend it until they fix the keybinds.
Review will most likely be deleted once they fix the issues.

Serious Turok Eternal.

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3465636165

Honestly quite a fun game knowing it was made by only two people from what I've heard.
The gunplay is satisfying and there's a lot of weapons at our disposal.
Action is fast paced with double jump and we can chain multiple dashes to dodge attacks and do some wonky platforming.

Graphically speaking the game is not very impressive, it uses Unreal Engine 5.4.3.0 but it looks more like an old gen Unreal Engine 4 game.
The maps are quite huge and the level design is decent, nothing stellar but most of the time it's a good time exploring the maps.

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3465542119

Son and Bone feels like a mix of old school Turok + Serious Sam + Doom Eternal for the glory kills and grappling hook aerial stuff.
It's far from perfect and it's janky as hell but damn it's pretty fun.
Worth buying at 10€ or 15€ if you like dinosaurs and enjoy old school FPS.
It's the closest thing we've had to a modern Turok game in years.
This game deserves more recognition and more attention in my opinion.

Amazing game.

This game is truly a masterpiece from start to finish.
No other way around it, it's a once in a decade type of game.
Don't let the controversy around it ruin your experience.

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3458154575

It is so much better than the first game.
The maps are bigger and give you more freedom to play either stealth or brutal.
It's still very linear but the areas are a bit more open and they have better design than the first game in my opinion.
Overall the combat is so satisfying either you do stealth or brutal, everything is fluid and truly impressive.
The graphics are so good, it kinda looks almost photorealistic at times.
Without any surprises the story and atmosphere are out of this world.
The characters motion capture and voice acting are stellar.

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3457419538

The PC port is fantastic, everything maxed at 4k it looks gorgeous on my system.
At the end of the day it's safe to say that The Last of Us Part II Remastered is an absoute must have if you call yourself a gamer.
Amazing game, do doubts, thanks Naughty Dog for creating such an outstanding game.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is easily one of the best games I played in the last ten years.
Cannot recommend it enough, this is a masterpiece and it's great to finally see it free from it's PlayStation prison for PC players to enjoy.
