Damocles, I have to say back a while ago I used this map for my military RP server and I will say the map is great. But Military RP has expanded. Im not sure if your still in this work but what would it take for you to go back to this map and make a version that includes more hills, walls around the base connecting to the towers and pill boxes so you still have outside view and most importantly has bases for terrorists and civilians and towns that you can go to, to rp at. Like 3-4 extra towns.

Yes, almost all of my maps are at the maximum size. It is around 1x1 km.

Well a blizzard effect can be done as an entity, all it needs is to spawn a 2D image arround it right?

Can't change visibility for a certain place. Source engine maps have an everywhere is fog or nowhere.

So, snowbowl? That sounds amazeing! With like a blizzard and stuff so the interiors are the prefeered plance to stay in for visibility, that sounds fun af.

No, the wiki is useful, and if you have any programming experience, you can make gmod do almost everything it is capable of.

Im fairly certain you can auto generate a navigation mesh
for NPCs
then the only work you would have to do is add triggers for some doors, air and strider nodes and a few hoping nodes

There is a specific folder - look at any source game you have that installed with files instead of packs and stick your files in those folders. Then include that game in your hammer load-in settings. unfortunately I can't give you a path, I don't have any source stuff installed on this computer...

Do I have to pack them into .vpks or is there a specific folder I can put models, textures etc. in? (I'm using the Hammer that comes with garry's mod btw)

Sure, I use a utility for that, called packBSP (just google it) for afger the map is compiled and you want to release with files included with the map. To get files into the editor (Hammer), I paste them into the correct folders in my steam HL2 Ep2 install and then Hammer just loads them for me to use (I think that should work with putting them into another install, not just ep2).

Hey, I'm kind of re-creating the map seen on gm_necroforest.jpg. I don't own Day Of Defeat source, got the models on my disk though. Can I somehow get them into the map?
