EDIT: I wrote this review then noticed there was supposedly patches that fixed a few of the issues I mention. However, my install is "up to date" as of the time of writing this and I just played the game so I can only assume the dev never published the patches for the Linux version (based on SteamDB info, the Mac version was also abandoned). Due to this, I strongly recommend NOT purchasing if you're on Linux/Steam Deck unless you want to attempt to use Proton.

Note: Game received for free via a "no strings attached" giveaway back in 2016.
I wanted to like this game. It looks nice for the most part and could be fun. It even was fun for the first half or so, however so little is added during the game and there's almost no story that it feels longer than it needs to be, even at <4 hours for 100%.

Positives:
  • Cute Graphics.
  • Puzzles aren't super hard.
  • Achievements are all easy enough.
  • There are checkpoints.
  • You get new weapons.
  • You can bounce on enemy heads as an attack. It's actually very effective for most enemies if they don't have spiky helmets.

Negatives:
  • An entire level (12: Enemy Mines) is has a headache inducing glitch that causes the whole screen to flash.
  • Another entire level (13: Lake City) is riddled with glitched ground that, if you're lucky, cause you to either immediately die or, if you're unlucky, cause you get stuck meaning you have to restart the level and lose any progress you may have gained in that level.
  • At least a few other levels have spots where you can access areas you shouldn't be which can cause you to get stuck unless you find another glitched area.
  • I was able to glitch the camera into terrain in a few spots.
  • While you have a shadow, there isn't one for platforming purposes.
  • Checkpoints aren't marked.
  • Puzzles are barely puzzles.
  • Achievements don't unlock immediately. I think they trigger when you exit the game.
  • Weapons all feel the same. I didn't notice newer weapons hitting harder. The two magical swords have fairly useless abilities. Freeze only works until you hit the enemy. Fire is okay, however it can be hard to aim due to a delay in shooting the flames.
  • The final weapon and some crystals "switches" are missing textures and appear pink.
  • Levers can be difficult to trigger.
  • Annoying screen shake after certain enemy attacks.
  • Hit detection can feel a bit off. Sometimes I would swear my sword swing went through an enemy, however they didn't take a hit/die.
  • Almost no story.

If you get the game on sale or in a bundle, it could be a fun couple hours.

TL:DR
Pros:
Fun for a few hours.

Cons:
Progression slows to a crawl after a short time.
Too few milestones to aim for.
Bad mobile port.
Developed bugs and now fails to load.
Has a hidden "Facebook Ad Tracking" checkbox.

I was prepared to recommend this game after about 7 hours of playing, as it initially starts out mildly fun for a "clicker-style" game. However, I decided to mess with my system clock to see just how long it takes to progress later. Doing so drastically changed my view.

The game starts out fun enough. The first half hour or so you progress at a decent rate, upgrading your crops and buying trimmers and upgrades. Then you plateau. Not a problem though, just close the game and play/do something else for a while. When you come back you'll have earned enough money to purchase a few more things. Rinse and repeat.
Once you're not earning enough money to buy many upgrades or more plants after a few hours away, you reset and gain some Puff-Puffs, which increase your money gain slightly. Then you do repeat the same process.

Eventually, the amount of money required for upgrades increases so much resetting barely feels like it helps you progress. I suspect this is when the devs hope players will spend money to buy gems to buy manure which dramatically increases profits from one crop. This is where I decided to fiddle my clock.

Up to this point, I had almost no problems with stability or bugs. Sure, the port from mobile was poor, so the menus feel like they were meant to be portrait and scrolling with the mouse wheel is painfully slow (you can scroll faster by left clicking and dragging), but I did not experience the crashes and bugs preventing upgrading as others have mentioned (outside of the "Trimmers" upgrade "glow" preventing being able to click on the majority of "Upgrades" and "Up In Smoke").
Once I diddled my ticker, I started to experience these bugs. Upgrading a crop would cause a "Cash explosion" animation to freeze and block out most of the upgrade buttons for other crops. Going "Up In Smoke" would freeze a smoke animation in the middle of the screen which seemed to lock out everything. Resetting the game fixed the issues. Finally, for some reason, the game now refuses to load.

In all, I reset my grow around a dozen or so times, by moving my clock ahead a few years in total. If I were to continue until I could "complete" the game by unlocking all the achievements, it would have probably taken a few decades.
Now, I don't have a problem with "clicker-style" games having long term achievements, I've put 7,000 hours into Time Clickers in order to 100% it. However, this game has very little progression after the first few hours and too few milestones to aim for.

The final nail in the coffin was discovering a hidden "Facebook Ad Tracking" check box in the menu. Click the stoner picture, far right option (question mark I believe), scroll to the bottom, then click as far to the bottom as you can and drag the mouse up. It's impossible to uncheck because of what you need to do to reach it. I'm fairly certain it's a hold over from the mobile version, but the slight possibility that the game is potentially having hidden Facebook metrics is a big turn off.
