While the game has received a lot of bad press for the performance of the console version, on capable PCs the game runs well and looks great. There are occasional glitches, mostly vehicle related, but they aren't worse than similar open world games.

What stands out at the end of the day is the quality of the storytelling, and by extension the depth of the characters. Missions leave you feeling invested, in a way that few open world games can. Like the Witcher series, the game pulls in a lot of detail to its portrayals, and while it lacks the whimsy of the Witcher setting it does bring enthusiastic techno-babble to replace it. The game isn't perfect, but it's worth playing and I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent so far playing it.

If you enjoy grand RPG stories and in-depth explorations of character motivation, this is a game for you.
