After many years of connection issues, the Fatshark support team still provides a laundry list of general fixes which often don't work. Around 50% of the friends I've introduced to this game have had connection issues that they never worked out how to fix, and Fatshark has never gone to the effort it seems of collecting enough data about these issues to be able to effectively troubleshoot. It amounts to, if you have a connection issue, try port forwarding and disabling upnp on your router, and if that doesn't work "sorry we can't be of more help, just keep trying and hope the magical fairies fix it overnight at some point". For such a successful game its disappointing to see the developers so content to allow their player-base to slowly dwindle as more and more people run into connection issues and then quit, since it can go from working to not working with seemingly no explanation.
