DO NOT BUY RIGHT NOW. The game is unplayable. Shader compilation hurts another title. Idk why this keeps happening, it is a known issue for UE4 and yet, every UE4 game seems to still have the problem. It is sad to see another promising title be ruined by subpar performance on PC, and to anyone suggesting to go to dx11, that doesn't solve the problem for people with high end systems that want to have raytracing and HDR. I am refunding for now, hoping that in the next couple of months the game will be in a playable state, and I can go back and enjoy it.

If you have already played the great original, this is a good excuse to go back and playthrough them again. If you haven't played them before, this is also a good way to get in with the updated graphics. There are some weird bugs and changes, for example, the pictures menu is different from the original as the photos not in chronological order like they were in the original. I don't know if that is a bug that I am experiencing, or an intended change. Overall, I would say that it is worth it, as someone that has played before, or someone new to the series.

In my opinion this is very dependent on you having a lot of people willing to play it with you. It is a game that is a lot more fun with friends. If you satisfy that requirement, then I say give this game a go. I mean it is only $5.

This is one of the best games I've ever played, the RPG elements are near flawless, and it is a joy to play, a little over 100+ hours, and I still have another 180-200 hours left in side quests, and Gwent (the amazing card minigame). The side quests are deep, and have very deep and excellent story, you fully embody the role of a Witcher, and the side quests a just phenomenal. This game is for the Skyrim fan, the Dark Souls fan, RPG fans, people who like deep story, and every person that plays video games. Best game of May, and potentially best game of 2015. This game is a must play, its one of those games that needs to be in every gamers library. 10/10.

Update November 2016: This game is still the best game out on the market now. With the release of the two expansions and its price going down, if you haven't played it yet, buy it now.

Update November 2017: Two years later and still worth $60, you can find it on sale for $30, and it is easily worth it for that price, I still play on a consistent basis. I still recommend.

Update November 2018: Still the best game I have ever played. The bonus is now you can pick it up on sweet discounts, $30 or less is a great deal on a game that they could easily still charge $60 for.

This game wasn't anything special, it is good, if you look past all the issues it has. It had a lot of potential. It wasn't this awful terrible thing that deserves a 1/10, but it could had been much better, WHERE'S THAT BLACK FLAG MAGIC????!!?? This game was more disappointing than anything, mostly because of the success of Black Flag. I do however think you should play it, not for $60 but for like $35, It is worth $35. This game is a game you should play because the story is decent, and it's Assassins Creed, all the fun climbing, and assassinating is still there.

This game was Uncharted esque with slight RPG elements. It did have some cliches, but overall fantastic game, this reboot showing how Lara Croft became the Tomb Raider was really phenomenal, and well done. The story was driving, engaging, and left me wanting more. I am super hyped for the next one. In the words of Angry Joe, "This game is a must own".
