An interesting twist on the RE series, fans of the "old school" feel of resident evil games will appreciate this one, especially if you are fortunate enough to be in posession of a VR headset. Personally, after playing this chilling demo on my modest 1920x1080 screen, I can safely say I will never be using a VR headset for anything other than POV pornography.

If this game doesn't put the sh*ts up you, then you should probably be bungee jumping for a career or something.

Unlike recent games in the RE series, which are more action-orientated than survival horror, RE7 appears to be going back to it's roots, with an interesting transition to first person, if you have a heart condition of any kind -- avoid. It's not all cliché jump scares either - very few infact. The atmosphere is very immersive, you will be afraid to turn around, you will be afraid to open doors, to me, this what RE is all about, or at least was, "back in the day".

I recommend playing with the lights off and the curtains closed, but you should probably also wear your least-treasured underwear when playing and be sure to stick to the games recommended brightness levels - it really adds to the immersion.
