Graphics are a bit dated and gameplay is kind of clunky but definitely one of the best horror games I've played. The games atmosphere provides a sense of dread and misery unlike anything else. A serviceable story and gore galore makes this a winner for me. Buy it cheap with the DLC if you're on the fence. If you like horror games - you won't regret this.

No game has left me wanting a sequel quite like this one.
It takes a bit for the game to really pull you in. I tried it on Playstation and quit a few hours in. Second time around, on PC I decided to give the game more of a chance and I'm so glad I did.
Only thing I would have liked is more variety in camp jobs which mainly see you driving somewhere and clearing a camp.
Play on Survivor difficulty as Hard gets pretty easy once you reach the later stages of the game.

Do yourself a favour and play this collection, you won't regret it.

10/10 worth sinking 45 hours into.

I can say with all honesty that this is the best zombie game I have ever played. I love it. At 30 hours in I wasn't even at 50% story completion.

Of course there are some glitches, like being able to open fridges in houses through a steel grate and not being able to get out again because there are no doors and opening the fridge teleports you in through the grate to do the animation, and jumping over something only to get stuck in the roof, but what game doesn't have glitches these days?

Also people seem to have a problem with your character having a voice. I think it's the most realistic thing done in ages. His personality is perfect. I mean, if someone asks you to go to the other side of a city infested with zombies to pick up a flower, you're not just going to say "Sure no problem", you're going to say "Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious? Is it really that important?".

Serious update: It has come to my attention that this is the only game that can bring my i7-4930k @4.46GHz and GTX 980 to its knees. I get 3fps on my vehicle using 373 blocks, and you know what? It doesn't ruin the fun. It does hinder the experience but even at 3fps it is very enjoyable.
