Good shooter, semi-bad Fallout game. It could have been a spinoff, but as a main series title it's not the worst thing to ever happen to the series. I'd say its a solid 7/10, all things considered.
If you can get the Game of the Year on sale, it's worth it for $20-$30.
Modding is what gives the game most of the appeal.

Okay, So, I found out about this game through a Reddit gif, and I was instantly intrigued because of it's isometric/top-down view with an atmosphere similar to Dark Souls. The game (at the time of this purchase) is Early Access, and $15. So here's my review:

Is the game good? Sure. The combat is clunky and takes time to learn and get good with, as with any game. You [TAB] to go into combat, Left-click and swipe/drag the mouse in the direction you want to swing and use right click or WASD to move. The gameplay is a solid 7/10.
The soundtrack (so far) is kind of ominous, but not entirely appealing. I would say probably a 5.5 or 6/10
The movement is initially what brought me to the game, and I must say it is exactly as unique as I pictured. Think of the tank-style controls from Resident Evil (the originals, if you've played them), add in collision physics (tripping over objects and stumbling into things) and you'd have a good indicator as to what you're getting yourself into. I'd say they're a solid 7.5/10,
Now, I know it seems as though i'm rating this as a mid-tier game with this review, but the challenge and amount of fun I've had with this game is 8+/10. I've been having a blast discovering how everything works, and with all of the above mentions, It's a game that is right up my alley; But it's not for everyone.
That being said, I'd give the game an 8/10, and say it's worth $5-$10 to the average person, but I'd say $15 for me.

This is an amazing game and is no-doubt game of the year '08 for a reason. This game has really good graphics, mods, weapons, story, etc.
So if you don't happen to own this game yet, Do yourself a favor and get it.
Its completely worth the $20-$30 you should spend and I can almost guarentee you'll love this game and play it for a long time (With or Without Add-Ons)
