Didn't really get hooked - just felt like a chore to keep everything balanced. The game keeps throwing curveballs at you that feel unfair or unbalanced.

This is a beautiful and peaceful Rimworld-lite. No combat, less focus on disaster management, and allover a more wholesome story from settling into the wildlands of Scotland.

UPDATED 2024-05-06:
Sony backed down, which permits a fairer review. Well Helldivers 2 is a lot of fun, and allows for some freakishly fun moments.

It's flawed though, with crashes and bugs, and some balance design that is often questionable and at times simply poor. Some weapons are simply not viable, and others are completely outclassed, which is a shame because many weapons are fun to play.

A big part of this issue is that you NEED heavy anti-tank weaponry to deal with difficulties above 6, and pretty much everyone in the team needs it. Having only 2 people with anti-tank is a handicap, so most viable team builds in the game are VERY limited. This means that weapons like the machine gun, anti-material rifle, and laser cannon become obsolete: stratagems do their job better and it's not worth sacrificing anti-tank slot for it.

It was fun until Sony stepped in. Nobody asked for this. Nobody wants PSN to be linked.

What a terribly useless company Sony has become.

If you're not experienced with Battle Royale, this isn't much fun. There's no room to learn - you get constantly killed. There's a lot of players very experienced that will basically prevent you from even getting close to understanding anything.

Maybe it's a question of 'get good' but the learning curve is no fun and extremely unrewarding.

Had fun for 1.5 hours with 3 friends. Definitely worth the price!

Tried playing this game with a friend. The painful result is:
a) getting stuck on the tutorial with no way out but to Alt+F4
b) trying to join a server - game crashed
c) joined a server, unable to join any team. This appears to be a long-riddled issue that has never been fixed.

It seems there is a persistent problem that makes some people (like me) unable to join a server with more than 40 people in it. I have a very good computer and very proper internet. No other game ever gives me issues with firewall/NAT/security. This is obviously a game limitation. As a result, you cannot join a team and you're basically stuck doing nothing. So: refunded. Fix your stuff before you release this mess.

Mordhau is simple fun. If you are good, you dominate lots of players. If you are not good, you can do stupid stuff like throwing fire bombs or playing as naked frying pan guy.

Amazing space survival game. Survive on a planet, build your own base, own ships, and take down the enemy obstructing you. Great if you love builder games, spaceships, and first person survival.

It has a lot going for the creative mind right now. There isn't as much of a story right now, except for a few clues you can find on floating cargo ships and crashed capital ships. However, the core of the game: survival and exploration, are very much present and function well.

For an EA game, it is surprisingly polished and functional. It has quite a lot of content, a few bugs here and there, and a very steady stream of patches. Devs fix problems extremely fast and are very responsive. The rate of development is steady and clearly is progressing according to a good vision of the game.

I've been playing for a few months and it feels great. I know some people are unsatisfied with some of the mechanic changes in the patches. I disagree, I trust all changes are for the betterment of the game and will help improve development of more advanced mechanics, which is far more important than a few features.

If No Man's Sky got your knickers in a twist, you should try this.

This game is simply awesome. If you loved games like Dragon Age (the first two), you will certainly like this. It is fairly story-heavy and not very combat-heavy.

I cannot reccomend this enough to any fan of turn-based RPGs.

A game with amazing atmosphere, soundtrack, and gameplay. This is a must get for any space-loving gamer. I've been totally addicted to this game over the past few days. My only regret is that there isn't more!
