Peak game, my favorite non-fromsoft souls-like easily

Masterpiece, nothing else to say.

Vastly different from the original game but it ended up clicking with me. By the final chapter, I felt this was a masterpiece. The music is fantastic :)

One of the most messed up games I've played in a while. An interesting commentary on corporations and mental health. The gameplay is simple and the story is very short but it was well worth the ride.

Overall, I enjoyed the game but there’s a lot of issues. I played on hard and noticed the monsters always know where you are and will constantly corner you despite not making noise. They’re supposed to be patrolling/wandering but it’s all an illusion, the ai always knows where you are and many times it’s scripted to close in on you when you’re close to an objective even if you’re quiet. This was very frustrating, especially during some of the more difficult sections.

Also, I’d keep a close eye on the noise detector and I’d clearly stay within the limits of background noise but still get noticed. Problems like that really soured the experience.

There’s some technical issues as well, mainly the screen flickering (only happened in the first level).

The story was decent but characters do stupid stuff for no reason sometimes, usually resulting in someone’s death.

Graphics are pretty good.

One odd thing too is they kept adding new mechanics throughout the game up until the final level LOL there’s a ton of mechanics but they’re all half baked.

A valiant effort, could’ve been better but I still liked it…
