This game is my favorite Metroidvania game ever. The only other Metroidvania game that came close for me was the Ori series. The atmosphere is exquisite, and the world is so engrossing to explore and discover things in. The game gives you a lot of freedom to explore in the order you would like to (to an extent), and there are all sorts of collectibles and side quests to work on as you map out and explore the world. The combat is incredible, and the hardest of boss fights become a rhythmic experience, almost like a dance, as you dodge and cut along with the enemies. My only criticisms would be that the world feels almost small after you've explored it the first time, and I feel it would be pretty awesome if the world was ever larger and more spread out. I'm excited to play Silksong to see how much they improved the gameplay formula.

This game looks great, the setting is intriguing and fun to explore, the game mechanics are fun, and it's satisfactorily challenging. For someone that is completionist (like me) the game contains a lot of hidden and tucked away secrets that you can find if you are diligent (which are very satisfying to find), but it also isn't filled with a bunch of tedious collectibles.

The only criticism I can think of is that the world doesn't feel lived-in with the lack of NPCs. I know that this is typical for FromSoftware games, so its not exactly like I expect different, but it can be a bit immersion breaking when you go around the world and realize that it doesn't really make sense how people would actually be living in this world. But maybe I just haven't played far enough to see a lore justification for it (I haven't beaten the game yet, only made it about halfway.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this game, especially for people new to FromSoft games. Compared to the first Dark Souls, Elden Ring has easier paths for less experienced people to be able to succeed in this game, which is definitely a great thing to be offered if this is your first FromSoft game. It's also probably their best looking game so far as well. Highly recommend.

Pretty much the most high octane, adrenaline producing game you can play, especially if playing on Nightmare difficulty. Only racing games can probably produce as much adrenaline. And Doom Eternal of course. I highly recommend!

This game is great, even with the changed sountrack and removal of KFC and Levi's from the original. However, it is a horrible port of a console game. DO NOT GET THIS GAME IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CONTROLLER. This game is a nightmare to play with a keyboard, and should only ever be played with a controller. But other than that, it's great.

It's a short game, but the music was awesome and the visual presentation of the colors and puzzles are great. It's awesome playing the game and having everything that happens on the screen be in sync with the music, it's really cool.

If you are looking for a game JUST for partially good gameplay, than this is your game!

However, if you are looking for a game that has a great storyline, super hard enemies(Last boss was the only really hard boss), and doesn't take a god awful long time to beat, than this is NOT your game. It took me 34 hours to beat, and I'm not going to spoil anything, but the ending of the game REALLY sucks. I don't mean that the ending was sad or anything, it just SUCKS. It gets pretty fun getting closer to the end, but it's a relatively long and slow game, and most of the fun is just in the shooting. There aren't any cool parts where you fly space ships or anything like that, all you're able to do is use your guns and drive around in an underpowered car to fight people. The enemies remain relatively the same for most of the game, it's mostly just their levels that change. The story line is shallow, and leaves almost everything unanswered by the end of the game. While the game was fun and I'm glad I beat it, it truly wasn't worth the 34 hours it took me to beat.
