Eldritch is a pretty enjoyable roguelike that was fairly challenging all throughout the game. Figuring out what to do and where to go was pretty simple, if a bit difficult at times, and navigating was never outrageously difficult. The combat wasn't terribly interesting or too fun but, given that combat isn't even strictly necessary if you move carefully throughout the game, it never felt like it dragged the overall game down.
It was an enjoyable experience that I poured hours into, and that I still open up and play for a half-hour every few months when I see it in my library.
