Just. Do yourself a favour and play the damned game if you've been stalling. If you like roguelikes, this one is amazing. I've been playing the Isaac series since before Rebirth, and there is still new content to unlock. Repentance may not have been the perfect final DLC, but it certainly was an amazing one.

It has a few problems here and there, but the team have been transparent about it being incomplete, and that they are going to continue updating it for free until it is up to the standard they wanted it to be upon release. Also, don't let people scare you away with the difficulty. The game is hard, yes, but it is very VERY rarely unfair.

The game also has years worth of mods, most of which are of an extremely high quality. Hell, there were even "booster pack" updates to the game that added certain modded items from the community, and the entirety of Repentance was made in collaboration with the mod-devs of the fan-made expansion called "Antibirth". Yes, they even have those mods.

The community is also, extremely welcoming for such a... well, bizarre game. You'd expect it to be all politics and religious opinions considering the game's subject matter, but it isn't, and I really appreciate that. Anyways, like I said, just bite the bullet and grab the DLCs, i've spent way more time playing than I have spent dollars, and all of it has been enjoyable. Especially the way the game handles synergies between most items, there's just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ many. Don't get me started on the bosses either, I love them all. Except you Delirium, you're a ♥♥♥♥♥ ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and i'm glad they're planning on fixing you.
