Swords and Souls: Neverseen

Short Version:
This game standalone is good, and worth Buying. When compared to its predecessor[www.kongregate.com] - not so much.

Long version:
This game doesn't add anything new to the table, and if anything - a lot of parts were missed out on or just plainly slept on.
  • When you have your dojo fully upgraded - hitting the dong with your arrow should make a sound,
  • why doesn’t the puppet master say anything when you finish his training?
  • What about most other NPCs – everything is saved, and they don’t say anything - one guys happy you paid for his stuff?
  • And why was this game so much easier compared to its predecessor[www.kongregate.com] anyway?
  • What’s up with the fishing minigame?

And I could go on, It would’ve been nice to either see Easter eggs for the original players - Or maybe a much more polished off Storyline/UX. Personally, I would've liked to see something fresh added to the table - from extra Mini-Games to something fun like once you hit soul master - the puppet scales with your character and becomes a genuinely difficult fight - the game is missing one of those fights anyway.

Again, the games not bad – for the price tag you’ll be getting 20~ hours of content for a 100% run and that's pretty decent. The game is a lot like the First Swords and Souls[www.kongregate.com] & brings all the same elements - it's fun trying to get a higher highscore in each minigame - the hacked scores ruin that though.

In closing: The game standalone – again, is very fun. But, when you compare it to it’s predecessor[www.kongregate.com] it feels like you’re going from Duck life 1, to Duck life 2 – which doesn’t make it bad, just very disappointing.

I've played, beaten and archived a lot of platformers – after my first playthrough of the original crash bandicoot many years ago I was convinced that no-other game will come remotely close to the masterpiece of the original orange marsupial.

lol this is better

I'm not Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite game on Steam.
