10 year veteran of the game. I was able to play with my account with the help of the setting properties. Guild wars 2 is an incredible breathing world. For a 10 year old game the world is still so full alive and so jam packed full of content that it is unrecognizable from what it used to be 10 years ago. There are so many activities to do with friends or solo that you'll definitely lose track of time and space.

The pros:
  • This game is free to play minus the expansions. You can get from level 1 to 80 on a free to play account and have a good time without worry.
  • This game is not pay to win. There is a gem store but everything in the gem store is cosmetic only. There are some boosters than increase gain by X% however these are given to players periodically for free
  • The game has no emphasis on level. I don't mean this in the regards of you can travel to a level 80 zone at level 1 but the idea of leveling in this game is less emphasized in comparison to experiencing the living world. This is the perfect set up for role-playing or just enjoying a game that's had 10 years to hammer out the glitches and kinks.
  • Level scaling exists so you can play with your higher level friends or vice versa and everyone still gets something out of it.
  • The story is a little tacky and kind of dumb but it is in a living state. This means that you are not playing a completed game, it is continuously updated and their living story system adds new zones and story progression.
  • You are the main character, play how you want. Customization is very fluid in this game and you are able to mix and match weapons which determine you skill set to suit your preferred play style. Want to play a brain dead hammer warrior and hulk smash your way through the world, go ahead! want to play an elite sniper thief, there is a class for that!
  • If you have the expansions, the mount system in this game is the best across all MMO's i've played, and I've pretty much played them all.
Cons:
  • Balancing sucks. As with all games there is a constant flux of balancing and your favorite play style might not be optimized to be the best play style.
  • Quality of life items are locked behind the gem store. It sucks, sometimes i cave and buy an extra bag slot but at the least gems can be gained via in game currency.
  • SPvP is horribly balanced and very easily abused. Look it up on youtube there's a LOT
  • They advertise a non-grind game. Until you decide to get your first legendary item. Then a lot of your time and sanity goes into grinding.
  • A lot of the really nice cosmetic skins are locked behind the RNG lootbox system, black lion chests, OR from a straight up gem store purchase. You can buy the black lion chest skins via in game currency and the gems via in game currency but it is still extremely inconvenient and disappointing when your favorite weapon skin costs 10$ or 300 gold.
  • Cosmetics are tacky occasionally. Just ignore the giant cat person who looks like they are the love child of 5 rainbows and 10 unicorns. Infusions are tacky and they never implemented a way for players to turn them off on other players so you'll see a good chunk of people walking around like giant beacons.
  • By far the worst part is that the living story episode content is all locked behind a paywall. This means that if you weren't around to unlock the content (Logging in during it's release) then you have to pay gems for it. This also means you will be missing huge chunks of story plot in between expansions. Not sure why ANet hasn't gotten around to optimizing this but the story sets go on sale occasionally.
Overall this game is fun. It's a LOT of fun. I'm currently sitting at around 2k hours and I constantly come back to the game. Each new expansion adds new mechanics, classes, zones and are a load of fun and full of life. You will always find someone to do something with in game so don't worry about "dead" content. There is content that is less frequently played but for the most part you'll be able to find someone to play with and have an amazing experience!

Overall score: 9.5/10

See you out in Tyria!

4 hours into the prologue and I find this game to be enchanting. There are a lot of issues that WILL be addressed by CA as they've done with every single release that they have had. People are b*tching about size, well welcome to 2022 where 4tb harddrive is 69.99 USD at best buy, you're complaining about bugs as if games don't have bugs or as if you yourself can make a game better than this (Please by all means go for it). And 99% of the negative reviews have less than an hour in. It's like they see the color red and go "OH THATS A BAD COLOR. THIS GAME BAD". The game is amazing with so many quality of life changes from the second game and with the excitement of knowing that immortal empires is going to be a thing! I can't wait to see what they add next! Thank's CA for bringing my childhood to life back when I played WHFB on tabletop!

Early Access Review
I bought this game very early in its pre- alpha stage and played it for a little while. It was fun back then but eventually I forgot about it. Years later I revisit the game after seeing a youtube video about it and BOOM it's like being in the apocalypse. You can mess around with the settings and turn all your zombies into sprinters or walkers and live like you're trying to survive the walking dead universe or I am legend. You can choose how much loot exists and the size of groups zombies make. This game turned out to be a hidden gem of joy and fun. I highly recommend giving it a go!

To preface my review, I have a degree in anthropology. It comes as no surprise that I find this game to be an absolute delight. The controls (Especially on mouse and keyboard) are a bit odd and take some getting used to and there is no real direction when you first begin this game. The game is about the human experience before ♥♥♥♥ sapiens actually existed and the steps that our ancestor's took to inevitably become ♥♥♥♥ sapiens. You begin as an early form of human and need to build up experiences in order to ensure basic functions, such as walking upright. Even in the early stages your little tribe can only stand for a couple of seconds at a time and cannot digest meat or various flora found in the world. There are dangers around every corner and showcase how tragically short life could be during the early years of human kind. This game is repetitive but that repetition is extremely valuable and rewarding and show cases a very close to realistic view on how evolution works. I.E. If you stand a lot you're going to adapt to standing upright faster and it will transfer to future generations. It's an incredible exploratory game with a diverse amount of wildlife and natural predators that will not hesitate to murder you or your tribe mates. The game also has a heavy emphasis on ancestry, it is invaluable that you have healthy children and will ensure your success as a species. While it is not 100% accurate in certain aspects, this game is as close as you can get to experiencing similar events that took place millions of years ago. I highly recommend picking it up for the fun experience ahead. Especially if you're interested in early human evolution and the history behind it.

Pretty good game. It's free. I think the only thing thats worth putting money on is the ultimate god pack because it gives you every single character for free. makes the game more interesting and less grindy.

Typical moba except its more emphasis on the skill base. Balanced better than other mobas imo and is pretty fun. Don't be a toxic player, learn from your mistakes and you're bound to have a good time!

The devs are meme lords and push skins in chests that can be obtained through money, which is kind of dumb in my opinion, but if you really care about the game its your money. I haven't encountered any horrible game breaking bugs but I do know that the devs are constantly pushing new content out which is nice in comparison to other games that take forever to release new characters or content.

The game does take quite a bit of time to play, however, unless you're beating some cheeks and the enemy team surrenders. so be ready to spend hours playing 2-4 matches.

I think all the hate this game recieves is extremely not needed. People are freaking out over dlc where the biggest one (which adds a new faction) is less than 20$
I've been playing tabletop since I was 12 and let me tell you i'm more than happy to give them 20$ too put in a new faction into my favorite universe. If you think it's bad then try playing the table top. One figure costs over 100$. It's hell. And when i'm able to basically play tabletop in realtime at anypoint i want I think it's perfect.

Pro's-
fantastic game
less costly than table top
multiplayer is actually challenging
warhammer universe
content continously coming out

cons-
chaos is kinda weak imo
AI is kinda dumb sometimes
All factions in fantasy not available yet
no squig herders yet :(

I sincerely enjoy this game. Every time Ive played it i put a good 2 hours into a game and think that only 10 minutes have gone by. The design is amazing and the concept was executed properly for once. Although it is very limited the game will offer alot of entertainment for when you want some.
