Early Access Review
Slower paced than the original but in a way that feels good. Enjoying it a lot :)

Maybe I'm just weird, but having more fun playing this than I have playing Helldivers 2 and Elden Ring combined. Only issue I had was that it didn't natively support my ultrawide monitor and it took a little research to figure out I could edit a file (and set ti to read only) to set the resolution manually and not allow the game to change it back to a default, but after doing that it works perfectly on it

This is the game that Diablo 3 Immortal 4 wishes it could be. I somehow never tried it until about a year ago and I was blown away by how CRAZY good this game is. As just about everyone will say, it pretty much requires a few stash tabs if you get really into the game and want to play it a lot, but you have more than what you need for a play through the entire story, so you can easily "beat the game" and then decide if you enjoyed it enough to spend ~$10 to get some incredibly useful QoL, and you can buy more if you want. Apart from stash tabs the only things that can be purchased are purely cosmetic so if you are into paid cosmetics, you can go to town, but if you aren't you won't feel like you're really missing anything

One point I cannot stress enough though is that it is INCREDIBLY helpful to lookup and CLOSELY FOLLOW a build guide your first time playing especially, as the skill tree and gem/socket system is incredibly complex and early on it is VERY expensive to correct mistakes without completely restarting your character from scratch. There is also ALWAYS more to learn in the game and as a new player figuring out what skills work well together will likely not feel fun since you will be lacking resources. If you like that sort of thing, once your first character gets to endgame and you have enough in game currencies you can play around with builds to your heart's content as well

I absolutely do not understand the hype for this game. It actually starts out AMAZING with a hilariously well done opening cutscene. Then you go through a tutorial which was great, and then possibly the most fun moment I had with my friend group was cycling through the name options for the ship and sharing the humorous combos we found. That was where it took a nose dive. The combat and missions feel monotonous, and the progression systems would strongly benefit from some sort of trial system, as early on if you pick something you don't like, you're just out of luck and have to grind more to try something else. Also my biggest disappointment was the humor that is laid on so incredibly thick for the first ~30 minutes of your experience almost entirely vanishes.

That said, I don't normally play games that are anything like this, so maybe I'm just not the target audience, but if I didn't have friends that wanted to keep playing this I would likely never play the game again

All these years later and I'm still actually waiting to see if this game ever REALLY releases. Killed Kickstarters for me forever

If you are looking for a second job, you found it. I recently spent HOURS of real time digging for oysters and cooking a brisket in this game and somehow enjoyed every moment of it. I may be a deranged lunatic, but this game is what it is, a Korean MMO that plays like Diablo, looks like an anime, and has real end-game MMO-style bosses with real mechanics. As well as lots of grindy collectibles that make Banjo-Kazooie green with envy. Also, as far as Korean MMOs go, this one is rather tame, as some of those get absolutely insane with their grinds

This is literally the best anime girl simulator EVER MADE! You can also have out and chat while showing off your outfits and emotes, and even go to live concerts with your friends!

There's also a combat system and stuff people talk about min/maxing affixes for some supposed combat system and such, but those guys obviously don't understand the true experience this game has to offer.
