Running Borderlands 4 on my rig (Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB RAM, Radeon 4070 Super), the game runs absolutely flawless on max settings. Load times are instant, textures are razor-sharp, and even in the most chaotic firefights packed with particle effects, the frame rate never dips.

Gameplay wise, it nails exactly what Borderlands should be. The pacing is fast, the guns are ridiculously fun to use, and every combat encounter is a total blast from start to finish.
Everything about it is entertaining, the humor is on point, the world feels alive, and I still have so much more to enjoy. I’ve been taking my time exploring, and it’s absolutely worth it.

One great QoL change is that cutscenes are skippable and rendered in real time, which makes replays far more enjoyable.

I’ll update later after I’ve progressed further, but so far it’s been perfect.

I was walking through a blizzard for an entire day and could hardly see a few feet in front of me, stumbling up hills and across frozen creeks. I finally found some train tracks and followed it until I found a derailed train and a collapsed tunnel, took shelter just inside the tunnel. Realized that I had no wood and it was almost dark, I scrambled to gather some wood nearby and literally minutes from freezing to death I built a big fire, enough wood to last most of the night. I rolled out my bedroll and slept til the fire was out. After I woke up, I finished off my food and drink most of my water and with only the moon as my light I wandered off in a random direction. Wandering past trees, rocks, for what seemed like a few hours I am already freezing again I see an opening and there on top of a cliff sits a hut, the trappers hut. With releif I ran there got inside and started a fire, stoked it to last a few hours, gathered some food and boiled water. After several hours of patching up, eating, drinking, I crash due to my condition being so bad. Woke mid day and scavenged the rest of the hut and now I'm up to day four and after hunting I've got food and water for a while. Now just have to worry about the condition of my clothes!

So far this is my expereince with the first playthrough on the sandbox mode and I'm in total love!
