Fistful Of Frags: A Seductive Shooter.

A really fun arena shooter that I think can cater to casuals and hardcore players alike.

To me i think, what makes fistful of frags a really standout game is that it manages to both be silly and fun while somehow feeling both fairer and more skill-based than most shooters. One of the key reason for this i think is the way shooting is done in that it's slow and it takes time to shoot and rewards patience, but also aggressiveness when it is due. In short, it rewards strategy.

It sort of gives the game the same tension you feel while fighting someone in for example Chivalry. That feeling of holding your breath between shots/swings and it being a Exchange, where you are keenly aware of each time you screw up and you must think quickly on your feet as the odds and situation changes.

Combat is a much slower burn compared most shooters, not because of a huge health-pool, but because of how the guns work. Which is appropriate to the setting in that it makes each fight feel more like a duel (like in Chivalry) and between two gentlemen/gentlewomen. Which also, like chivalry, creates a more personal connection with the people you fight making it feel more light hearted. But because it's the guns that need to be handled correctly and not just wailed around like a water-hose, it makes it feel fair and skill-based. A single good shot can finish the fight quickly, but are you that good? Otherwise you have to resort to other strategies. And there are.

Fights are tense because a single slip-up can be immediately devastating, and it prolongs this tension like a good lover through it's gunplay (a sentence i thought id never write).

When you die you don't really feel cheesed (unless shot in the back, especially while fighting someone else!!!!). This is because of how aware you are of each of your mistakes in a engagement and your enemy's successes; defeat, much more often bring with it a air of respect. "Yes, yes i do suck", or "Yes, he was better than me there" or "Yes, I am the best....". You know when you were outplayed or outplayed someone. The game provides a high, a sense of satisfaction, few games achieve. Especially among shooters. This is how FoF seduces you.

A classic. A gem. A game for real men and women, looking for a real fight.

The game is fun. Itches the same itch as the previous game. Except this game plays, feels and looks better. Plus you can throw almost anything you can hold at people.

Sadly I have to give this game a negative review without any experience of the actual game as the game is completely unplayable. The game crashes without exception right after the splash screen for the game pops up. I've tried many different potential solutions to the problem but all of my efforts have been fruitless and have not taken me any closer to playing the game. I'm leaving comments on so if someone who sees this who might know how to fix it can suggest to me a way to solve the problem.

So far i've tried messing around the the compatibility settings as well as renaming the files, tried getting rid of one of the version of the game which steam installs. I've updated my drives i've autenticated my game cache, i've deleted and redownloaded the game, i have tried playing the game with compatibility setting for windows 8, and some other things i do not remember.

A really cute game. My only gripe would perhaps be that it costs money, so some might miss out on this game. But I also think it is justifiable as a barrier of entrance to keep out trolls, which this games seems to have done relatively good job of keeping out. Also, if trolls did enter the letter chains, then it would have ruined the whole thing. So at least this way, most people can recieve genuin support from people.

A stupid fun game to play now and again. There are some people that will just completely reck you because they have found the most optimal way to play the game, but the game really shines with friends. It's fun. It isn't perfect. But it is unfair to review bomb it because there's another game out now that's released 7 years later that is supposedly "better".

Bioshock will likely be a part of video game history for a long time to come and it did a lot of cool things for the modern fps. But I can not recommend the game on the basis that I get a extreme amount of motion sickness from the game. Ive tried fiddiling with the brightness, the fov, the view model etc. I can't remember any other game which has given me motion sickness like this game did. This is not the case for everyone. But if you are sensitive to motion sickness while playing games, i would at least advice you to be cautious.

I would like to say that the game is very niche, but also not really, the fact of the matter is that there is nothing quite like it (that is why it attracts a lot of people I believe, even though it appeals only to a small part of "gamers", it still appeals to almost everyone within that demographic), and that is for a reason. It is hard to make, and it shows. Arma 3 is rough around the edges. But if you are willing to see past its issues it can be a boat load of fun for hundereds of hours.

A great little charming game about love, being there for people, honesty, responsibility and friendship. Sometimes some of the dialouge comes of as a little bit corny, but at the same time, more or less holds true. And is still well written enough for you to really care and be emotionally impacted by the things that happen in the game. I would recommend playing through it all in one sitting for coherency and for the maximum enjoyment out of the experince, as you then feel more involved.

All in all, it's a really nice game. It's just lovely, and fills you with all of these good feeling by the end (hopefully). And if it didn't, then you'll likely learn something still from it.

And bloody hell, it's five Euros at most. A burger that will clog up your arteries costs more.

So, it seem that this game is in a bit of a either you love it or hate it situation. Personally, i love it so far. Ive mostly done exploration so far and have played for 10 hours as of me writing this review. I really like the world. And talking to people and finding small mysteries by breaking in to peoples apartments and reading about them.

The even that just kind of sold me was this (also, kind of spoilers, i guess?)

I was just walking around, decided to walk into a shop (a security tec shop, though they didnt sell anything special), talked a little to the guy owning it. Turns out he needed some meds, so i decide to give him some. He tells me that i'm free to look around the back of his store. I take some liberties and break into his vault. Find some generic resources. But also a card for a bank vault of the Tarvos corporation, some private military company. So i tip my hat, and walk out. I go to the bank, which i had already been in, and they had some heavy security, cameras, guards, locked doors which needed key cards. So i look around the outside if i could find some vents. I walk into a cafe sharing walls with the bank, and what do you know, i find a vent leading into the banks garage. In there i find three guards and two cameras, i take out the guards and cameras with out a peep.

I find a fan in there which leads into a room next to it. So i throw a emp grenade which stops it, and walk through. I hack my way through a couple of doors. And i find myself in a huge room, similar looking to a elevator shaft.

I climb down, it seems its filled with different corporate vaults. Eventually i find the Tarvos vault, i enable its manual opening. And get into the vault. I find lots of stuff, do some reading on a computer in there, turns out its the belltower corporation which has rebranded itself as Tarvos.

All that was done without any quest markers or anything. Just me doing stuff.
