This is my first Yakuza game. I am about 2.4 hours through the playthrough right now.
I am more than I can can explain; impressed and inspired.
This game has compelled me to read about Toshihiro Nagoshi; and this man's story is even inspiring.
I have just bought ALL of the Yakuza games available on steam; I plan to play them throughout this year.
In these first 2.4 Hours, I have experienced a full form of inspiration in my life that i would not trade.
I have generated respect and admiration of this creator within 2.4 hours of [gameplay].
I feel more connected to life, and the meaning of itself.
I have googled terms of the game so far, just to connect more in a historical value.
I am in love with this representation of life, and the inspiration to the creator has given me value that I would normally seek elsewhere.
In these 2.4 hours; I have experienced tears, feeliings of true human nature, and real meaning behind family, loyalty, respect, law, heroism, difference between a boss and a leader..
Bless. If you are a young man, and finding your way through life, buy this, and support the other games, and Toshihiro Nagoshi.
Sir, Lord, Magnificent, I would wait 100+ days outside of the office in order to show due respect for saviors of my life; indeed.
recommended Any%.
So long fellows, I am going back into the game after finishing this review, good lord, I got the game on sale, but please; This is worthy; buy at full price!
I'll see you at the next shrine.
Happy New Year 2001
Peace out. You will not regret your purchase.

This is what you want out of a sonic game, and you can see they are taking sonic in the right direction.
Fabulous game, Buy it. You will not regret the decision.
If you are a hardcore/true sonic fan. (I grew up with the 90's cartoon show and the Genesis games.)
You have been waiting for this game.
Also, they are releasing free updates.
Buy it. Support it, Leave a review so they understand that this is what we want from the continued success.

This is one of the best games I have ever played.
If you are wondering if you should play this? Yes.
Allow yourself to buy this game. (And the DLC)
You will not regret the decision to buy after experiencing the story, game play, atmosphere, etc.
I love Capcom. They have always been one of my favorites.

EDIT 2: Nomination for game of the year? Oh hell no.

EDIT: After being one of the %4.8 who finished the game first, I am adjusting my review.
As a Veteran of the 1st game who %100 completed all difficulties and DLC.
This is not what was promised at E3 as Dying Light 2, I understand development issues, however this is complete change.

Disclaimer: Not a "Bad" game, Just nowhere near as good as it should be/ does not feel finished or polished.

This game feels as if it was worked on by the people who were left over from Dead Island and Far Cry Primal. They turned it into this, Illusion of choice, RPG-style, gameplay in a beta stage, they are releasing free DLC's for who knows what reason, I guess for the items they couldn't fit into the game before release, I really don't know.

The choices really don't matter, and some of them leave you in the end of the game with no conclusion or... I can't explain without spoilers. A mixed, buggy, and non-satisfying, OH GOD, the NON-satisfying ending I got made me so angry and is what contributes to this review.

I put about 36 or so hours into this game I think? I bee-lined the story because the game itself did not really impress me like the first one did, I quickly saw through the "Illusion of Choice" and Honestly I'm tired of every past good game developer thinking it needs to be an RPG developer now. It is just not unique anymore. We don't need the health bars or the setting that takes away the health bars. Dying Light 1 was much more of a total experience overall, than this hybrid game. Kids, Health bars for enemies used to be putting in cheat codes to get that. Now they just give us cheats and call it gameplay.

This is a watered down Dying Light, Dead Island, Far Cry Primal Hybrid with not a whole lot going on or reason to come back.

The upgrading system is just stupid. We have to upgrade many times just to learn how to "Sprint" lol so... this just means that when you unlock the sprint you have the unfair advantage against the same enemies that don't upgrade their speed = cheats. STOP calling old cheat mechanics, RPG mechanics. Aiden is an advanced human subject, and a pilgrim with a big backstory and you're telling me the dude doesn't know how to sprint.. and can't climb worth hell in the beginning due to low stamina. He just has no endurance after being a pilgrim all those years? and yet we are experiencing a modernist approach to a Role-Playing-Game style..?

This is half-assed, or made by the left-over developers who still needed funding, and new interns that really aren't used to gaming and what it is // I don't think they played the first one before being involved in making the second one.

And if it's not, well, they made their money on this illusion.

It's alright for 30 or so hours, however, I cannot make myself go back into it, never even wanted to play it multiplayer.

It just didn't live up to the expectation after getting into the meat of the game and seeing the choices really overall do nothing. I know some of them do change what some people would consider "A lot" settings, characters, and locales, but the overall bugginess, and how the story doesn't line up in the end or show the effect of a combined amount of choices, just an "Epilogue" that felt rushed.

I have NEVER written a review, but damn it THIS is what i've been looking for in a game! I'm so tired of the classic RPG, it's branded and dying, flourishing with the souls who may have recently discovered it. The whole system is perfect. This game has so much hidden potential, call it Gohan. I was so sad when i got to the ending. But so happy at everything i went through. This was truly an experience and i would love to be on board to help design and pitch tons of ideas. The community workshops would be a great place to start. The world needs games like this! You're right, you've awoken the game. Now let me help create the sequal.
