Iconic game. Never got to finish the first time playing on console, so came back to finish it on PC.
The monastery quest was worth it XD.

Fantastic game. This has a great atmosphere, world, and plenty of interesting ships to tear apart!

A great concept executed wonderfully, ship-breaking is a very zen/chill experience overall which is a nice contrast to the world's dystopian setting

As others have already mentioned, this is more puzzle game than surgery.
The game is also very geared toward co-operative play, and annoyingly only allows you to play with friends directly (it has no matchmaking for the surgeries)

It feels like this game has leaned more into the super silly side of the original without focusing on making a good game at the core. When you compare this to the original you can see that the original was a more serious attempt at satire (such as the hospital setting, playing as an incompetent Nigel, etc) which I personally preferred.

I would have given this game more of a chance if I could at least play with random people instead of being forced to find others to play with or else deal with an empty world meant for co-op play on my own.

Cozy

Weirdly I'd consider this a cozy/relaxing game. Something about the way the game models the water/waves, the sounds of the sea, and the ships sits really well with me.

Despite being about naval combat, it's not terribly sweaty so often I can just sit here with a cuppa and lob a few shells or try to out maneuver with torpedoes. It's especially fun on the couch with a controller!

Good game, I love sticking after getting destroyed around and watching my ship sink/fall apart in different ways!

So many things were done right in this game. In short: wonky controls, wacky physics, and a questionable definition of surgical "success" (Bob didn't need those other organs anyway?).

The setting in an imaginary UK hospital in the 80s is perfect as it allows the addition of all the interesting retro items (VHS, cassettes, floppys, Nigel's watch) while simultaneously allowing the jokes around dodgy healthcare and parodying of the NHS. All of the surgeries feel difficult, involved, and grounded while still not being overly serious.

On top of this is an immense attention to detail in order to combine all of this. To start with the reception (which is essentially an interactive menu) which lets you pick up the basic controls right away and interact with the myriad of items on display, all the while giving you some back-story about Nigel.

This attention to detail continues into the operating theatres such as live electrical sockets, the ever-present real-time radio clock and Nigel's flimsy watch, and being able to accidentally drug yourself.

They play further into the wonky controls and add humour when you need to perform the tooth transplant where the containers holding the teeth are in a sort of flip-top pill container that you need to carefully prop open and then find some way of picking up all the replacement teeth.
For the eye transplant there's pill bottles full of eyeballs (and wacky glass eyes) which you need to avoid tipping/upend carefully in order to get the replacement organs out.

All of this layered with an amazing art style and an excellent soundtrack reminiscent of classic hospital shows such as Holby City/Casualty. This is a game where I can lose myself to become the hapless Nigel. Who I'm sure is just trying to do his best despite his clearly dodgy fine motor skills. A man who is either desperately trying his best or is a complete maniac (or perhaps a bit of both?).

For all it's silliness, this game sits at the pinnacle of parody "Simulator" games and thus always keeps me coming back to it.

A very intense, tactical shooter that forces you to be slower and more methodical than something like CoD.

I gave this a shot as I wanted to try a modern FPS that runs under Linux. I am more than impressed and this certainly performs well for me using the latest Proton Experimental. This scratches the itch for more grounded gameplay, the audio design is superb, and I love the UI minimalism.

Futhermore the lack of over to the top skins, Operators/Heroes, and annoying end of match lineups is certainly appreciated.

It's been some time since I've played this, but I still remember it fondly.
Honestly a pretty good game, even if it does feel a little low budget or like a clunky flash game at times. I still had fun and overall it's definitely worth the money.
The focus on multi-platform support is also to be praised, as that was partly why I was drawn to this game originally.

One of my favourite games of all time. Simple, minimalist, and challenging yet retaining the wonderful atmospheric themes of Little Inferno with a darkly upbeat tone.
