Beyond early access woes (unstable/weird server actions, MISSING CRITICAL QUEST ITEMS, and other expected but no less annoying problems), the game really feels like it's had all the fun surgically removed.

Action is slow and methodical, with dodge rolls a common (and necessary) part of every fight. Enemies are quite tanky and quite damaging. Bosses are several-minute slogs, and many have attacks that are likely to oneshot you if you're not hilariously overleveled or overgeared (One boss has a five-swing combo that will likely kill you if it connects with any one of the hits).

Loot is extremely anemic for an ARPG, and if the idea was to improve quality of loot so quantity was unneeded, it has failed horribly. On top of that, currency for crafting is also significantly harder to find.

Making sanctum or ultimatum required for ascension was one of the dumbest decisions possible.

A cute, silly game where you do chaotic small dog things while redecorating your new house.

Free, which is an absolute crime. I'd have happily paid a few dollars for the hour of adorable, silly fun.

Game will crash randomly, causing you to lose successful runs and everything you got on the run. Cannot recommend until this is fixed.

Fun free game that will keep you occupied for a while. Basically 100%'d the game in about 4 hours.

I can't believe we've hit 2023 and can't enable auto saving in an rpg. God forbid the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port crashes after doing something difficult and you haven't saved in an hour.

Game seems fine now, after the update bringing the game up to speed.

Takes a lot of inspiration from Assassin's Creed, but still does things new.

It's good to see a response to the denuvo issue coming in, even if it took a while. I can't forgive that kind of underhanded move.

That being said. The game is good. I appreciate the response from the developer. I wasn't a fan of the multiplayer but that's not why most people want DOOM. if you want bloody rip and tear, then you'll get that in spades.

Like the first game, there's a lot of good platforming to be done, sometimes quite fast paced, but rarely overly frustrating. Unlike the previous Ori game, combat is a fair bit more focused on, which is nice. There's even bosses, which is pretty neat (outside of one, which I found to be an irredeemable pain in the butt).

Also, prepare to get punched square in the feels several times (though not nearly as often as the first game did).
