TL;DR: Play this game if you like ARPGs and big monsters.

Long:
I played when the game first came out, again with Iceborne and again this past week. Overall great experiences every single time. I'm still having a blast with this game. Started a new character to just refresh my memory of how things work and the starter gear they give you now makes the leveling experience up to MR very enjoyable because you dont feel incredibly weak because the armor is an absolute unit and the weapons are so good you can test them all out with no investment into farming mats for the older content. Just to give you perspective of my experience and how it might translate to yours: I'm a melee gamer so I mainly use Greatsword, Sword and shield, Dual blades. I also enjoy the flashy acrobatics from Insect Glaive. Greatsword is your typical power fantasy barbarian gameplay from most ARPGs, Sword and shield is very mobile, quick damage, and defensive all at once, and Dual Blades turns you into an anime character with all the spinning it does and it's "Demon Mode" ability.

Been playing destiny for 5 years. Would not recommend my worst enemy give bungie any money to have the content they paid for removed then recycled as a "new" dlc that they have to pay full price for. Also their "new" content is always extremely repetitive and they force you to play modes you won't like (gambit - trust me you won't like it).
