If you are a fan of sim racing this is a must buy, but wait for a steam sale. Most content is user created.

Pros:
Amazing force feedback
Wide variety of cars and tracks, most are workshop content.
VR quality depends on who made the car.
AI racing is the best you can get.

♥♥♥♥:
Subpar graphics
Terrible UI.
Almost all content comes from user created content so it is very hit or miss.
User created content makes finding online races challenging.

Great sim for what it offers and how it presents it.
I've done two 24 hour races in this game and it is really
Awesome for those long endurance races.

This game would really benefit from some online match making
Even if it is in conjunction with it's current public lobbies.
The game wanted to try and recreate IRacings rating system
but unfortunately failed because they put the match making in the
Users hands.


Pros:
Amazing array of cars and tracks.
Good VR support.
The best UI in sim racing so far
Great car interiors
Multiclass racing is fun.
Setting up races is easier than most other sims.
Good AI once you tune it right.
A wide variety of diciplines (oval, road, rally)

Negatives:
Pit stops are but ridden.
Hard to drive and make pit changes on the fly.
Penalties are way too aggressive.
No caution system
Online racing is a wreckfest.
The ranking system is hardly ever used.
FFB is lacking.

If you're looking to get one sim racing game for your library
That is easy to use, has a ton of fun cars and tracks, you can't go
Wrong with project cars 2. If you want to play online in an esports
Style this probably isn't your best option unless you can find an active league.
Also if you have VR this game is almost certainly a buy. It is beautiful.
