I've had wizards on my radar since the very first teasers for it dropped, and I was SERIOUSLY impressed by the final product! Even after all this time! You've got great comedy, great gameplay, an alright soundtrack, and a surprisingly twisty and engaging storyline that took me well over 15 hours to complete (which is longer then most AAA campaigns these days)! Add some customization and multiple ending variations to all this, and you got yourself a damn good title that's worth every penny!

Early Access Review
NOTE: This review has been edited after playing the release version. The original EA review written in November 2022 has been posted below in the comments!

Having played early access for over a year sporadically, and getting ready to finish my 1.0 run soon, I can confidently say that Colony Ship is worth its price. What you get is a full fledged CRPG that improves on just about every technical aspect of Age of Decade and Dungeon Rats, but places it in a sci-fi setting that's rather unique. From the character creation screen you know that you won't live to see the Starfarer reach its destination, Proxima, but yet you can't help but get involved in the politics of the ship, and dream about what it will be like to finally walk on its surface for your descendants, provided you ensure the ship gets there in one piece...

....oooorrr you can choose to NOT give a damn, and instead focus on gaining power, riches, and going out with a bang. Like any true resident of the Pit. And that's just one of the MANY dilemmas your character will face, in a game full of choices, severe consequences, and unpredictability. Because there's always going to be obstacles in whatever path you chose. And whether you're a hero or underdog, it's up to you to decide how to beat them.

Rambling aside; Colony Ship story wise gripped me quite hard as you can tell, but the gameplay department is even more important, and probably the stronger aspect of the game. You can build your character to be a sneakthief, a warrior, a scientist, or an impressive orator, or a mix of everything but master of none, with a hint of homicidal tendencies with rusty knives just to spice things up. Any path will work, some better then others, and there's a very helpful heroic mode for those looking for a slightly lax experience, and underdog for those who want to beat the odds and rise to the top... or fall down to the bottom of the Pit. The character customization is... servicable, and is one of the things that is on the list to be improved post launch (amongst a TON of others), so definitely keep an eye on future patches for this game if my review hasn't convinced you.

As for negatives... I think the one thing I missed is more ally dialogue, but for a game with an admittedly smaller budget, what we got is already impressive enough for me (and it's not like they're silent by any means, there's a lot of convos with your crew whenever you explore new areas or do their quests. I just wish there was more with non companion characters too.)

-------------------

TLDR; Story is great, Gameplay even better, but customization could use some improvements, and I wish for even more dialogues! Highly recommend it all in all!

Thank you for reading!

As someone who hasn't played the original metal gear solid games and only watched playthroughs, this was my first real entry to the series, and I am very happy it was. MGSV might not be the perfect metal gear game, but it's got solid stealth-action gameplay, dozens of different ways to handle each mission, and a damn good story, even with the cut content.

My primary complaint of this game is the absolutely horrendous checkpoint system, that is completely unpredictable and often puts players into a worse situation then they were beforehand, making deaths and mission fails even more frustrating than they already were. I suppose the reason for this system was to discourage players from always reloading after every little mistake, but I'm not sure this is the right solution for it.

Regardless, I completely recommend this game to fans of the series and new players alike.

If you liked Wasteland 3, then you'll like the DLC too, but it doesn't add anything revolutionary. The non-lethal weapons are fun and new, but they cannot be used for much outside of Steeltown, and even there they don't work on every enemy. If for nothing else, I recommend getting this for its story as it does present the player with plenty of hard choices, way more then the base game does, and on top of it the soundtrack continues to be amazing.

An excellent rpg, and just as good of a sequel to Wasteland 2. The gameplay, graphics and mechanics have been vastly improved in many areas since WS2, and the game also has a kickass soundtrack to boot! The only negative I can bring up are the rather large number of small glitches and bugs one can run into, but hopefully with patches these will be ironed out.

It took well over a decade for Halo to finally come back to PC and I'm very happy it did. MCC certainly has it's faults, be it audio bugs or lag/input delay in coop, but in spite of that I had a blast playing through Halo CE and 2 again while finally getting the chance to play Reach as well and then finish the fight in 3. Considering that you get 6 excellent games for not even the price of a single triple A title, I highly recommend the Master Chief collection for anyone.

I've spent around 70 hours playing this game in COOP and I have to say that Divinity Original Sin 2 is one of the best RPGs that I've had the chance to play in the past decade. You have tons of character and class customization options, a richly detailed and written world and an excellently written story, all with an A+ soundtrack to boot. The game is steal even at full price, and I definitely recommend it for everyone who likes RPGs!

After actually finishing the game (unlike a lot of other reviewers on day 1), I have to say that I enjoyed Chimera Squad quite a lot. The game takes a lot of ideas from XCOM: Apocalypse, and introduces numerous new systems and ideas (breaching, alien squadmates, redesigned turn system), which results in a very different, but albeit very enjoyable XCOM game. Chimera sadly suffers from a lack of polish and the voice acting could have used some work, but given that the game is only 20 dollars (or 10), I'm more than happy to recommend it in spite of that.

After spending I don't even know how many hours walking and sailing my way through expedition, I have to admit that this expansion ended up being even better than I expected! Expedition not only adds an entirely new landmass to the game which players are free to explore whenever they want to, but the base game received a whole load of improvements and new things as well. Considering how much the DLC adds for only 8 pounds, I'd say it's more than worth the price, especially for fans of the original game.

Played the game for over 130 hours, and I think that every single one of those hours was well spent. Kenshi might not be the prettiest or the most optimized game, but if you can look past that you'll end up with a game that has a fully fleshed out open world where you can truly be whoever you want to be. The fact that the game is quite moddable is just the icing on the cake.

Update: Been half a year since I wrote the review, and the game has recieved some minor fixes since then. The game hasn't recieved any optimization updates however, so if you've got a weaker rig you might want to consider upgrading, or at least using mods to help with your fps.
