An Honest quick review of Dying Light 2

Worth the price? it's not cheap and it's probably not GOTY material (the year is young I could be wrong), If the price is off-putting, wait until it comes down a little.

Are the special editions worth it? Not really, at least not yet! you get some cool weapons (which aren't really that good) but hopefully it'll become worth it as DLC is released.

Is the story as bad as reviewers say? No, not at all, critics are critical, and often spend time looking for issues instead of being in the moment enjoying it, I personally was sad when I reached the end.

Did I like the end? Not really, I felt that was the one part of the story that didn't have as much work put into from a writing standpoint

A quick paragraph

At it's core, Dying light 2 is a brilliant game, while there may be some issues along the way, for me at least, my whole experience has been fun. The story itself has some twists and some turns, some moments I loved, and some moments I hated, some characters I wish had more quests and some I wish wouldn't be involved at all. If I could change anything with the snap of a finger, it'd be to revamp the story ending, instead of having an epilogue that is reversed on completion, let us revel more in the effect of our choices along the way and have it continue on instead of going back to before the final chapter.

My advice to any player would be, don't rush the story like I did, take your time, do all the quests you can, because at the end, you probably won't want to go back and do them.

My rating: 3/5

Some small bugs here and there, but what it lacks in polish it makes up for in content and story.

Game Objectives from an observers point of view
In Banished the main objectives I have noticed from playing, are basically to create and grow a self sustaining civilization, starting from a small town of 5 houses and 5 families [depending on the difficulty settings] and building your way up to a town or city, using resources available from nearby ecosystems, IE Wood, Stone, Iron. Etc.

Game play
Although extremely frustrating at times, this game Is highly addictive, creating a self sustaining civilization comes with its difficulties such as running out of food, wood, and other things necessary for survival.

The environment in game is very appealing, high quality textures make the experience all more impressive

Overall
Banished is a city-building strategy game, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants or has experience in strategy games or even wants to experience the enjoyment of 'playing god' in a immersive world they create.
