VAC STORY:

Essentially, VAC is able to identify AHK script programs running in the background while playing, despite their intended use for hotkey switching purposes.

I had used the AHK program for hotkeys in a different game before I started playing Team Fortress 2.
I made a foolish mistake by forgetting to close it, and as a result, I was hit with a VAC.

I spent few hours playing TF2 on a Rocket Jumping community server and I was shocked to see a message on my screen informing me that I had been banned by VAC.
I asked myself - "What exactly did I do to get banned out of nowhere?.
Did playing the game on a community server without PvP enabled, trip an alarm somewhere?"

As innocent individuals are being banned, the actual cheaters are able to roam freely without facing any consequences! What is the rationale for that? Great work, Valve, much appreciated... But hey, if you ever release Half-Life 3, then I might just forgive you for that debacle on TF2.
