Overall, despite some issues, Space Marine 2 is a very valuable game for two groups of players: first, those who love the Warhammer universe and will greatly enjoy immersing themselves in the game’s world; and second, gamers who are interested in Co-Op experiences and can play Space Marine 2 with their friends. In this case, some of the game’s problems, such as AI weaknesses, are less noticeable. The brutal and bloody action, along with the appropriate atmosphere of the game’s world and the Operations mode, are other positive features of the game. If you enjoy exciting action titles, you will probably also greatly enjoy Space Marine 2.

This Armored Core brings things right back to its roots with some changes that definitely suit new players to the Fromsoft games while keeping a deep nostalgic and satisfying mecha gaming experience for older players like myself. The movement is fluid and fun, I had to switch the overboost from the left stick so I would stop accidentally clicking it during boss fights and when I was surrounded by enemies but changing the button layout to better fit the play styles is as fun as learning the different load outs that work not only for the different levels of the game but for each player. Customization is still extremely deep and fun to get into. I spent 2 or so hours alone tinkering with what I have for designing emblems and decals this morning.
The first boss fight is meant to be an eye opener and get players to see that they’ll have to use every tool available to bring down enemies. Boosting, overboost, quick boost, keeping the pressure on the enemy, aerial combat, and cover will all be crucial elements during fights not only with the giant MTs but certainly when battling other Armored Cores. Perfect way to do it.

Overall, it’s what I was hoping for and feels like a fresh experience while it kept a lot of its flair from earlier games (my favorite was AC3) and bringing some fleshed out combat to the field. This is a great step forward for AC and Fromsoft! Definitely recommend this for a buy.
