I've been playing this for a while now and I 100% recommend it. It is so good but it really needs mods to make things just a bit easier, for example the acquisition of soda is honestly not as worth the effort. If you enjoy space exploration and endless quests from npcs then this is the game for you. It's so much fun just exploring everything and finding new things all over the place.

EDIT. Just installed the Soda mod now I really feel like the game has reached its stride. I come home from a hard day’s work log into steam and fire up startbound within a few moments I’m chugging sodas. Can’t stop won’t stop, I’m beginning to believe my character has diabetes but somehow he just keeps chugging. Needless to say this is exhausting and I finding it hard to play for any longer then about 10 mins.

All in all it's now a perfectly balanced soda drinking experience.

Tested VR performance excellently.
