Super charming game with a clear inspiration from Rhythm Heaven! Bits & Bops is the definition of quality over quantity, and while the length of the game leaves something to be desired, I still think it's cute, entertaining, and decently challenging for what it is.

My full review for this DLC was left on the 'Confronting Myself' song, but I wanted to put a negative review on each song because the charting is just so atrocious that I can't get over it.

I've cleared every song in the game on Impossible and even the easiest Impossible chart from this pack is a nightmare because the rhythms aren't readable and don't go with the song. Just to reiterate, I LOVE the game itself and am really enjoying it. But this pack in particular was a huge miss and really should be recharted if possible.

I wish I could write a review on the DLC as a whole instead of having to just pick one song but here's what I have to say:

I've played this game for 80 hours, but I didn't appreciate what good Rift charting looks like until this DLC was released... because it showed me what BAD charting looks like. The main game and other DLCs are actually charted beautifully, with readable patterns that teach you new "mechanics" in fun ways.

The Celeste DLC pack is the complete opposite of this. These songs don't make sense for a rhythm game in the first place, but even so, the enemies are sometimes intentionally off beat, nonsensical, and bunched into completely unreadable patterns on harder difficulties.

The ratings are also wack, I would honestly add 4-5 to the actual rating to get how difficult the chart really is. I've cleared every song in the main game on Impossible (all the way up to the level 30s), but even the easiest Impossible chart in this pack is a nightmare to get through. And it's not because it's necessarily more challenging, it's just impossible to read, so you have to basically memorize a bunch of weird, random patterns (and use your vibe meter VERY strategically) just to scrape by. The completionist in me wants to clear all of these songs on Impossible for the achievement, but the rhythm gamer in me hates every moment of the grind.

I want to make it clear that I absolutely LOVE this game overall, and I'm happy to support the company with my money for making such innovative games. But the Celeste song pack in particular was a huge miss and I think the charting honestly should be redone, or at least tweaked to be more readable.

Super addictive and probably the most unique and creative gameplay I've seen from a rhythm game!

it's a classic courtroom drama and it still holds as one of the best mystery games out there (obviously not at all what a real courtroom is like but if it was, it'd be a pretty boring game)

A wild ride from start to finish, and absolutely worth it for hardcore rhythm gamers... The simple mechanics are easy to grasp at first, but levels 7 through 9 REALLY test your listening skills and reaction time. I feel like a lot of rhythm games go with a more soothing or dancelike aesthetic, so it's ironically refreshing to have a rhythm game feel like psychological horror

Easy to learn, hard to master, and accessible to anyone with a mouse and keyboard! It's everything a rhythm game should be and more. Absolutely love the aesthetic and as a frequent rhythm gamer, I appreciate that the colors of different types of hits can be customized (it's easier for me to choose a color scheme that matches the other games I play)
