NO OCE SERVERS.

UPDATE: Had a second game - 150 ping, better but still not playing on a local server. Driver update fixes FPS but still experience stutters here and there. Still can't recommend the game in its current state to anyone.

First game in I had 300 ping, was probably placed on a server across the world from me. There was 5 other players in the lobby, 2 of which were immediately dead within the first couple minutes. Having player spawn in alone in a coop experience in definitely a choice, with a game this brutal as well it makes for a truly unfun experience.

Well, new adventures await buddy.

Wayfinder has been converted from Live-service MMORPG to solo (up to 3 player coop) Action RPG. The game is overall in a better and more interesting state thanks to this change.

Most of the negative reviews stem from the shift from MMORPG to Solo Offline and the inability to refund their founder purchases.

The game in its current state is very much "early access" with only ~15-20 hours of content for you before its all done.

Despite that those 15-20 hours are excellent fun and the game is in a great spot for its "early access 1.0" drop.

Early game the game is very tough as you're still trying to learn the new game and you're underequipped, but persevere and you'll find an extremely engaging game that keeps you focused on the gameplay.

I heavily recommend this game to people who enjoy "souls-like" combat but want an "easier" version of it.
